It’s Saturday night and you know what that means! The Christmas episode of AEW Collision will go down tonight, and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage for the December 21, 2024 episode.

The show opens up with Ian Riccaboni standing in the ring with Big Boom! A.J. and Big Justice. The Costco Guys says boom a number of times, while discussing the show and running through the Continental Classic leaderboards.
Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness then welcomes us to the show and we get the entrances of the first match of the night, which is an AEW Continental Classic Gold League Match.
The match starts off with both men locking up. Ricochet then tries to take down Will Ospreay. Ricochet then takes down Ospreay, but Ospreay gets right back up. Both men then lock up again and Ospreay puts Ricochet in an arm bar. Ospreay then takes down Ricochet and tries to pin him, but Ricochet kicks out at one. Ricochet then goes to the Ricochet then gets back in the ring. Both men then lock up again as Ricochet kicks and chops Ospreay. Both men then run the ropes as Ospreay takes down Ricochet. Ricochet then slaps Ospreay and Ospreay slaps him back. Ricochet then takes Ospreay down as Ospreay is up and he hits the ropes, but Ricochet catches him and sends him to the floor. Ricochet then leaps over the ropes and lands on Ospreay as Ricochet grabs some toilet paper, acts like he is wiping his butt and then puts in the face of Ospreay. Both men are back in the ring as Ricochet covers Ospreay, but Ospreay kicks out at two. Ricochet then chops Ospreay and sends him to the corner. Ospreay then hits the mat as Ricochet covers him, but Ospreay kicks out at two. Ricochet then has Ospreay locked up as he fights out of the hold, but Ricochet drops him on the mat and then covers him, but Ospreay kicks out at two. Ricochet then puts a chin lock on Ospreay as the referee checks on him.
Ospreay is in the corner as he runs the ropes and takes down Ricochet. Ospreay is up on the top rope and leaps off, hitting Ricochet with a big forearm. Ospreay then covers Ricochet, but Ricochet kicks out at two. Ospreay then chops Ricochet as he comes back with forearm shots. Ospreay then goes for a Styles Clash on Ricochet, but Ricochet gets out of it. Ricochet then goes for a cartwheel as Ospreay hits a Styles Clash on Ricochet and covers him for a near fall. Ospreay then attempts a hidden blade, but Ricochet rolls out of the way. Both men are on the apron and Ospreay hits Ricochet with an elbow. Ricochet then hits Ospreay with a death valley driver on the ring apron. Ricochet then sends Ospreay back in the ring. Ricochet then hits a 450 on Ospreay and covers him for only a two count. Ricochet then charges at Ospreay, but Ospreay ducks out of the way. Ospreay then hits Ricochet with a stunner and then goes for a cutter, but Ricochet catches him and drops him. Ricochet then goes for the spirit gun, but Ospreay counters with a hidden blade as both men are down. The referee then checks on both men and both men trash talk each other and make it to their feet in the center of the ring. Ricochet then steps on the foot of Ospreay as we get both men exchanging blows. Ospreay is then fired up. Ospreay then hits big elbows on Ricochet. Ricochet then holds on to the referee as we get a referee bump. Ospreay then picks up Ricochet and covers him as the fans count to 10, while the referee is still down. Ospreay then goes to the top, but Ricochet pushes the referee into the ropes, sending Ospreay down. Ricochet then hits a spirit gun on Ospreay for the win.

After the match, the commentary team questions whether Ricochet intentionally tripped the referee. The updated leaderboard then shows Ricochet leading the gold league with nine points.
We then get a video package hyping up the Continental Classic Match between Darby Allin and Claudio Castagnoli set to take place later tonight.
Adam Cole then makes his way down to the ring and glares at the entrance area. A group of private security guards then make their way out and MJF follows and joins Cole inside the ring. The live crowd then chants “Shut the f**k up” at MJF, who recalls that it was Cole who turned on him. MJF then says Cole had other enemies to worry about such as spray tanner, a crack in the floor, a gust of wind, or a cavity. MJF then says he heard that Cole’s dentist isn’t seeing him anymore. MJF then tells the fans to shut up. MJF then says that when he was the longest and greatest AEW champion of all time, Cole was his side kick and that Cole wanted the title, but had plenty of opportunities to win it before MJF. MJF then says like his ankle, he blew it. MJF then tells the fans it is not that complicated. MJF then says that he doesn’t believe the hogwash that he turned on Cole first. MJF then says he is rich, funny and entertaining and tells Cole he used to be Adam Cole Bay Bay, but he is now looking like a crack bay bay. Cole then asks MJF if that is his last line and tells MJF that he practiced in front of the mirror. Cole then references the surgeries on his hair and references being a politician to get his girlfriend hired. Cole then says in every wrestling company he has worked for, he has been the longest reigning champion. Cole then says in this building he bleed buckets in a match against Kyle O’Reilly. Cole then says MJF is mad because he turned on MJF better than him and he knows it. Cole then says he figured out that MJF is terrified to have anyone close to him and it scares him. Cole then says MJF was going to be the one to turn on him first, while MJF admits it. MJF then says the truth at Worlds End 2023 he had every intention of stabbing him in the back, but Cole beat him to it. MJF then says he did start to care about someone else however, that is when Cole became a liability and is a fragile little freak. MJF then says there is no room for it. MJF then says Cole doesn’t get it and he is not the devil, but this year at Worlds End, he ends Cole and then tosses the mic down. Cole then questions MJF as Cole punches MJF. We then get a pull apart, but Cole takes out MJF’s security. MJF then kicks Cole between the legs as he goes down. As Cole gets up, MJF goes to hit Cole, but Mike Bennett and Matt Taven run in to make the save.
We then get a video package looking at Mercedes Moné retaining her NJPW Strong Women’s Title and retaining her TBS Title over Anna Jay on Dynamite.
We then head to the back, where Lexy Nair is interviewing Kris Statlander about making the save on Rampage for Willow Nightingale. Statlander says she went on a downward spiral after she lost the TBS Title. Statlander then challenges Moné for the TBS Title at Worlds End.
We then see Lexy Nair interviewing Orange Cassidy. Cassidy says between now and Worlds End, Jon Moxley can run and hide. Cassidy then says when the bell rings in seven days, Moxley will have nowhere to go and he needs to be taken out by himself, Jay White and Hangman Page. Cassidy then says the three of them could fight it out to become AEW World Champion. Cassidy then says it is just something for them to think about and he will see them on Dynamite.
Kris Statlander then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Penelope Ford follows.
The match starts off with both women locking up. Statlander then pushes Ford in the corner. Ford then runs the ropes and Statlander knocks her down. Statlander then picks up Ford and holds her up in a standing vertical suplex. Ford then fights out of it, but Statlander holds on to Ford and drops Ford. Statlander then covers Ford for only a two count. Ford is up on the shoulders of Statlander as she climbs the ropes. Ford then pushes Statlander and then comes off the top and drops Statlander on her back. Ford then covers Statlander, but Statlander kicks out at two. Ford then stomps on Statlander as she is down in the corner. Ford then leaps up over the ropes and hits a double knees on Statlander. Ford is on the outside as Statlander rolls to the floor. Statlander then tries to get back in the ring, but is dropped by Ford. Ford then grabs Statlander and sends her back in the ring. Ford then covers Statlander, but Statlander kicks out at two. Ford then uses the ropes as leverage to choke Statlander as the referee counts to five. Ford then breaks the hold and drops Statlander as she gets up. Ford is using the ropes as leverage to choke Statlander. Ford then breaks the hold as Statlander hits her with a shotgun dropkick. Statlander then sends Ford back in the ring and then powerbombs her. Statlander then covers Ford, but Ford kicks out at two. Ford is in the corner as Statlander runs at her, but Ford moves out of the way. Ford then knocks Statlander down and covers her for only a two count. Ford then hits a stunner on Statlander. Ford then hits a poisonrana on Statlander and covers her for a near fall. Ford then drags Statlander near the corner. Ford then goes to the top and hits Statlander with a moonsault, but Statlander rolls out of the way. Statlander then picks up Ford and hits her with a Saturday Night Special for the win.

After the match, Mercedes Moné’ music hits and makes her way out with a mic in hand. Moné starts off by saying New York City say hello to your C-E-O. Moné then says she was planning on going to the Ritz in Boston and take Worlds End off. Moné then says she was feeling nice because it was the holiday season. Moné then says at Worlds End, money changes everything and she will continue to be the champion. Moné then dances and the segment comes to an end.
We then get a video of Harley Cameron singing 12 days of AEW, while running down the company’s merchandise for sale.
Big Boom! A.J. and Big Justice then make their way down to the ring and says boom a couple more times. Chris Jericho then interrupts from the stage and is joined by Big Bill and Bryan Keith. Jericho asks if they knew him. Justice says he did and called Jericho a jackass. Keith then says dumbass kids like Justice should be seen and not heard. Jericho then says he’s the King of New York and the biggest jackass in the city. Jericho then says he speaks for everyone when he says A.J. and Justice aren’t wanted in the ring. Jericho then says they don’t have Costcos in New York because they shop at bodegas. Jericho then says they were in the Hammerstein Ballroom and it’s the house he built. Jericho then says they didn’t have time for bad gimmicks like boom or bandits or scissoring. Jericho then asks Keith to scissor him. Anthony Bowens then makes his way down to the ring and joins A.J. and Justice. Bowens says Jericho is trying to intimidate a man in a walking boot and an 11 year-old child. Bowens then tells Jericho to do what he asked so many others to do and that is shut the hell up. Big Bill then says when a man tries to silence another man, he’s probably afraid of the truth. A “Big Bill” chant then breaks out. Bowens then says he has no idea what that meant, but he knows they are live on TNT in New York City. Bowens then tells Jericho to come to the ring and get his ass whipped by the Scissor King. Jericho then teases going to the ring and says not tonight. Jericho and his crew then heads to the back. A.J. then tries to say that Bowens will get his chance to bring the boom, but Bowens stops him and Bowens, A.J. and Justice scissors.
We then head to the back, where Lexy Nair is interviewing Deonna Purrazzo and Taya Valkyrie. Toni Storm then shows up and introduces herself to the three women as if she has never met them. Purrazzo then pulls Storm in and says she knows who she is. Valkyrie then brings up the tattoo of a duck with a knife in it on Storm’s leg. Purrazzo then challenges Storm to face Valkyrie on Dynamite. Storm then thanks them and says it is a great opportunity.
We then get the entrances of the next match of the night, which is an AEW Continental Classic Blue League Match.
The match starts off with both men brawling. Benjamin then hits Garcia, but Garcia fires back with a big chop. Benjamin then picks up Garcia and back drops him. Benjamin then picks up Garcia and slams him down. Benjamin then picks up Garcia and sends him to the corner. Garcia is down and Benjamin grabs him and tosses him to the floor. Benjamin then tosses Garcia into the ring apron and then the guardrail. Benjamin then grabs Garcia and tosses him into the steel steps. Benjamin then rolls Garcia back in the ring. Benjamin then stomps on Garcia and as he gets up, Benjamin hits Garcia with a big lariat. Garcia then gets up and chops Benjamin as he says bring it. Benjamin then hits Garcia with lariat. Benjamin then grabs Garcia and drags him to the ropes, using his foot as leverage on the ropes to choke out Garcia. Garcia then drops to the mat. Benjamin then picks up Garcia and hits him with a big right hand. Garcia then drops to the mat as Benjamin stomps on him. Benjamin then applies a chin lock on Garcia and Garcia fights out of it. Benjamin then nails Garcia and covers Garcia for only a two count. Benjamin then applies a head lock like hold on Garcia as the referee checks on the TNT champion, who looks to be fading fast. Garcia then gets to his knees.
Garcia then runs the ropes and hits Benjamin with a big dropkick. Garcia then goes for a lariat, but Benjamin counters with a German Suplex. Benjamin then German Suplexes Garcia again. Both men are on the apron as Benjamin attempts to suplex Garcia off the apron, but Garcia holds onto the ropes and Benjamin hits the floor. Garcia then leaps off the apron, but Benjamin catches him in mid-air and then hits Garcia with a belly to belly suplex. Garcia then recovers and places Benjamin on a chair and hits him with big right hands. Garcia then runs and hits Benjamin with a big running dropkick, sending Benjamin to the floor. Benjamin then recovers and hits Garcia with a running lariat. Garcia is on the floor as Benjamin hits the ring and the fans in the front row help Garcia to his feet. Garcia then hits Benjamin with a dragon screw through the ropes. Benjamin then charges at Garcia with a running knee, but Garcia moves out of the way. Garcia then puts the dragon tamer on Benjamin as the referee checks on Benjamin, who almost taps out. Benjamin then turns the move around on Garcia as he goes for a figure four, but instead locks in the STF on Garcia. Garcia then crawls to the ropes and Benjamin holds on. Benjamin then grabs Garcia as he rolls up Benjamin, who kicks out at two. Benjamin then knocks Garcia flat as Benjamin covers Garcia for only a two count. Garcia then rolls up Benjamin out of nowhere for the win.

After the match, Bobby Lashley and MVP make their way out while Garcia is celebrating at ringside. Lashley then grabs Garcia from behind in a chokehold. Mark Briscoe’s music then hits and he makes his way out with a chair, but security holds him back. Swerve Strickland then shows up in the ring and jumps off the top rope and stomps security guards on the way down. Swerve and Garcia then enters the ring, while Briscoe is standing in front of The Hurt Syndicate while holding a chair. A group of wrestlers then make their way out to get in between Briscoe and The Hurt Syndicate, while Prince Nana led a “Swerve’s House” chants. Swerve then recalls telling Lashley that he will get his hands on him by the end of 2024. Swerve then says that’s what he did and asks “Who’s House?” The crowd then responds “Swerve’s House.” Swerve’s entrance theme then plays, while The Hurt Syndicate heads to the back.
The Blue League leaderboard is then shown. Kyle Fletcher has nine points, Garcia and Kazuchika Okada has seven points, Benjamin and Briscoe has six points and The Beast Mortos has zero points.
The Beast Mortos then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night, which is an AEW Continental Classic Blue League Match.
The match starts off with Briscoe running towards Mortos as Mortos comes back with big elbow shots. Briscoe and Mortos then battle it out. Briscoe then hits Mortos with his redneck kung fu. Mortos then charges at Briscoe, who fires back with a double chop. As Briscoe is running the ropes, Mortos hits him. Mortos then rolls up Briscoe, but Briscoe kicks out at two. Briscoe then goes for some more redneck kung fu, but Mortos backs up. Mortos then takes down Briscoe with a big shoulder tackle as we get a beast chant. Mortos then runs as Briscoe pulls down the ropes and sends Mortos to the floor. Mortos then comes back in and takes down Briscoe. Briscoe is down in the corner as Mortos applies a headlock on him. Briscoe then gets to his feet and fights back, but its not enough as Mortos takes him down. Mortos then chops Briscoe, sending him to the mat. As Briscoe is down in the corner, Mortos hits him with some boots to his neck. Mortos then drags Briscoe to the center of the ring and covers him for only a two count. Briscoe is up. Mortos then grabs Briscoe and sends him to the corner. Mortos then chops Briscoe. Mortos then runs at Briscoe and Briscoe moves out of the way, sending Mortos to the floor. Briscoe then drop kicks Mortos through the ropes and follows it up with a tornado through the ropes. Briscoe then grabs a chair and sets it up in the ring. Mortos is up on the ring as both men are now on the apron. Briscoe then hits a chop on Mortos and then drops him on the apron. Mortos then hits the floor as Briscoe goes to the top rope and comes down with a sky twisting moonsault off the top rope, connecting on Mortos. Briscoe then goes back in the ring and uses the chair as a spring board to land on Mortos on the outside. Briscoe is up on the top and goes for a froggy bow, but Mortos moves. Mortos then picks up Briscoe and hits him with a backbreaker and a Samoan drop. Mortos then covers Briscoe for only a two count. Briscoe then goes for a Jay Driller, but Mortos counters. Briscoe is up on the top rope and hits a big froggy bow on Mortos. Briscoe then covers Mortos, but Mortos kicks out. Mortos then sits up as Briscoe comes off the top with another big froggy bow followed by the Jay Driller for the win.

After the match, the updated leaderboard shows that Fletcher and Briscoe has nine points. Schiavone then says Briscoe holds the tiebreaker over Fletcher due to beating him.
We then get a video promo from Julia Hart. Hart says she warned Jamie Hayter. Hart then says she thought she was being reasonable. Hart then mentions that she will face Hayter on January 1, 2025 and The House always wins.
We then head to the back, where Alex Marvez is interviewing AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May. May trash talks Thunder Rosa’s father and mother. Rosa shows up and attacks May. May then makes her way to ringside as Rosa follows. Rosa then attacks May again and sends her into the steel steps. Rosa then grabs a chair at ringside and tries to hit May with it, but May moves out of the way. Rosa then goes after May again as security breaks up the fight. Rosa then grabs the Women’s World Title Belt as Tony Schiavone reminds us that at Worlds End Rosa will challenge May for the title in a street fight.
We then get a Worlds End ad narrated by AEW World Champion Jon Moxley.
Darby Allin then makes his way down to the ring for the main event of the night. Tony Schiavone says the night started with a five-way tie in the gold league and Ricochet took the lead with his win earlier in the show. Claudio Castagnoli then makes his way down to the ring.
Allin hits a suicide dive on Castagnoli and Castagnoli slams Allin on the entrance ramp. Allin then escapes out of a press slam attempt and sends Castagnoli into a lighting truss. Allin then climbs to the top of the lighting truss and dives onto Castagnoli. A “holy shit” chant then breaks out and the crowd gets silent. We then see a replay of Allin bouncing off of Castagnoli when he dives at him and lands hard on the stage. Allin then stands up and heads to the ring to officially start the match.
The match starts off with Castagnoli picking up Allin and dropping him on the mat. Castagnoli then covers Allin, but Allin kicks out at two. Castagnoli then picks up Allin and hits him with a giant swing. Castagnoli then keeps swinging Allin and picks up some speed before letting go, then sends Allin to the floor. The referee then checks on Allin as Castagnoli goes to the floor. Castagnoli then picks up Darby and drops him on the barricade. Castagnoli then picks up Darby and drops him again on the barricade. Castagnoli then goes into the ring to break the count and goes back to the floor. Allin then staggers around and Castagnoli sends him into the barricade again. Allin is still down on the floor, favoring his shoulder. Allin then gets up and makes it back into the ring. Castagnoli then follows and stomps on Allin. Castagnoli then hits big uppercuts on Allin in the corner.
Allin then fires back, but its not enough. Castagnoli then charges at Allin, but Allin pulls the ropes and sends Castagnoli to the floor. Allin then leaps through the ropes, taking out Castagnoli. Allin then sends Castagnoli back in the ring. Allin then sends Castagnoli to the floor once again. Allin then climbs to the ropes and hits Castagnoli with a big coffin drop. Allin then climbs on the back of Castagnoli and puts a sleeper hold on him. Castagnoli then backs up and drops Allin on the timekeepers table, which breaks in half. The referee then begins a ten count and Castagnoli is back in the ring. Allin is back in the ring as well and he makes several pin attempts on Castagnoli, who kicks out of each. Castagnoli then stomps on the ribs of Allin. Castagnoli then picks up Allin and tosses him to the floor. Castagnoli then goes to the outside and picks up Allin, sending him back first into the ring posts. Castagnoli then drags Allin and picks him up and knocks his head into the steel steps. The action is back in the ring as Castagnoli covers Allin for only a two count. Allin then rolls up Castagnoli for only a two count. Allin is up on the second rope. Castagnoli then grabs Allin and both men go down. Allin is up as he climbs to the top. Allin then goes for a coffin drop, but he doesn’t hit it. Castagnoli then powerbombs Allin and covers him for only a two count. Castagnoli then gets frustrated at the referee. Castagnoli then picks up Allin and powerbombs him again. Castagnoli then covers Allin, but Allin kicks out again. Castagnoli then gets a chair, but the referee takes the chair from him and puts the chair on the other side. As the referee has his back turned, Castagnoli pulls out brass knuckles and nails Allin with them. The referee turns around and makes the three count for the win.

After the match, the updated gold league leaderboard is shown for a moment. Castagnoli then grabs a couple of chairs from ringside, but Will Ospreay makes his way down to the ring and picks up the brass knuckles. Castagnoli then jumps the barricade and makes his exit as the show comes to a close.
