It’s Monday night, and you know what that means! The post-WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event episode of RAW will go down tonight, and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage for the December 16, 2024 episode.

WWE RAW Results (12/16/2024):

The show opens up with Joe Tessitore welcoming us, while we get a shot of the host city. We then see the arrivals of The Judgment Day, WWE Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker and Ludwig Kaiser in the backstage area. Tessitore then says there will be a medical update on Cody Rhodes, while we see video footage of him being on the receiving end of a package piledriver from Kevin Owens.

CM Punk’s music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring to address the WWE Universe. Punk starts off by telling the fans to be careful because some people might get mad if you chant his name. Punk also calls out a fan in the front row for having the balls to wear a New York shirt in Boston. Punk then says is it great to be alive on a Monday night in Boston or what. Punk then says he is feeling a little low and was in a bad mood. Punk then recalls Seth Rollins indicating that he thinks about him a lot and then telling Rollins that he doesn’t think about him at all. Punk then says he’s in a bad mood because Rollins is right. Punk then says as much as he’d like to put their issues in the past and avoid it, it’s only a matter of time before they meet in the ring. Punk then says that he knows when he’s addressing the fans, Rollins’ stupid music will hit and he can come in clogs. Punk then compares Rollins to Liberace and says it’s not an insult because he thinks Liberace is cool as hell. Punk then says wearing Elton John sunglasses doesn’t make you Elton John. Punk then says just because Rollins grew up working CM Punk doesn’t make him CM Punk. Punk then says he’s not litigating the past and he’s looking to the future. Punk then says Rollins wants to paint him as a bad guy. Punk then says he will be the bad guy. Punk then asks the fans if they’ve ever been the bad guy in their life. Punk then says he’s the bad guy because there’s no such thing as a bad student, there’s just bad teachers. Punk then calls Rollins his failure. Punk then says if Rollins wants to interrupt him, he will give him the wrestling lesson that he asked for years ago for free. Punk then asks Rollins if he’s tougher than Drew McIntyre. Punk then says Rollins might think he is, but Boston knows that Rollins is not. Punk then says there wouldn’t be enough staples to put Rollins back together once he’s done with him. Punk then expresses some surprise that this didn’t piss off Rollins enough to come out. Punk then notes that the fans chanted his name during Rollins promos.

Seth Rollins then appears in the crowd and starts chanting CM Punk’s name. Rollins then says life is about perspective, then calls Punk an a**hole. Punk then tells Rollins he belongs in the audience with the rest of his fans and Rollins says he will always be a fan. Rollins then says he put WWE on his back and made it stronger when Punk abandoned it. Rollins then makes his way down to the ring, but Punk meets him in the crowd and the two begin to brawl. RAW General Manager Adam Pearce and other officials then appear at ringside and separate the two men. Punk then breaks free and gets some shots in, then Rollins breaks free and jumps on top of Punk. Punk and Rollins then enters the ring and throws some punches at each other until they are pulled apart again. Punk and Rollins are then pulled to ringside. Both men then pick up some chairs, but the producers and referees are able to keep them apart. Rollins then acts like it was over, then hops the barricade and takes a long path to get to Punk for another round of punching until they are pulled apart again.

We then head inside The Judgment Day clubhouse, where Finn Bálor wondered where the rest of his crew was when he was left facing two men at once. Liv Morgan then recalls Bálor saying he didn’t need help. Morgan also says the rest of the faction is banned from ringside during Bálor and JD McDonagh’s tag team championship match later tonight. Morgan, Dominik Mysterio and Raquel Rodriguez then leaves the room. Bálor is then seething, while McDonagh and Carlito are focused on their WWE video game.

Ludwig Kaiser then makes his way down to the ring for the first match of the night, which is a WWE Intercontinental Championship Match.

We then see the Triple H video with the new Monday Night RAW logo for the Netflix debut. Joe Tessitore then hypes Wednesday’s WWE on Netflix kickoff event that will stream online from WWE Headquarters.

We then see Seth Rollins walking backstage. Adam Pearce then follows Rollins, who tells Pearce he wants a match with Punk. Pearce then tells Rollins to let him do his job. Drew McIntyre then shows up to confront Rollins after Pearce leaves. McIntyre recalls Rollins telling him that he needed to get over his issues with Roman Reigns and The Bloodline. McIntyre then says it’s not so easy when it’s staring you in the face. McIntyre then says he and Rollins know that Punk is the same person he was and that includes Sami Zayn and Jey Uso. Rollins then says McIntyre thinks they have a common cause and are friends. Rollins then says he took Reigns out of power at WrestleMania and he had Zayn and Jey at his side. Rollins then says he respects Zayn and Jey. Rollins then tells McIntyre that he is going to do something that McIntyre couldn’t do and that is end CM Punk.

We then see video footage of Ludwig Kaiser slapping Bron Breakker last week in a backstage segment and Bron Breakker makes his way down to the ring for the first match of the night.

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: Bron Breakker (c) vs. Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser

The match starts off with Bron Breakker delivering some shoulders on Ludwig Kaiser’s midsection in the corner. Breakker then follows it up with a back body drop, but Kaiser sends Breakker into the opposite corner and hits him with an open palm strike. Breakker then delivers some right hands on Kaiser, then sends him out of the ring. Breakker then delivers more right hands on Kaiser in the corner. Breakker then hits Kaiser with a spinebuster and goes for a pin, but Kaiser kicks out. Breakker then hits a bodyslam on Kaiser and follows it up with a suplex and a clothesline off the apron that sends Kaiser crashing over the announce desk. Both men then get back in the ring and Breakker places Kaiser on the top turnbuckle. Kaiser then escapes and delivers some stomps on Breakker’s shoulder. Kaiser then begins targeting Breakker’s shoulder and wears it down before he hits a dropkick on his shoulder. Breakker then delivers some right hands on Kaiser. Kaiser then sends Breakker’s shoulder bouncing off the top rope and hits a stomp on it, then follows it up with a kick on it. Breakker then nails Kaiser with a jumping knee and follows it up with a couple of clotheslines, then hits him with a flying back elbow and places him on the top turnbuckle. Breakker then hits Kaiser with a hurricanrana off the top rope, but Kaiser responds with a Death Valley Driver on Breakker and goes for a pin. Breakker then kicks out and Kaiser continues wearing his shoulder down with a submission hold. Kaiser then sends Breakker crashing into the middle turnbuckle shoulder first, then sends him out of the ring. Breakker then nails Kaiser and sends him back inside the ring, then hits him with a gutbuster and follows it up with the Super Spear for the win.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) are then shown walking backstage and they are about to enter the men’s locker room, but WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio comes out and stops them. Mysterio says it isn’t just him as everyone in the locker room doesn’t want them there. Mysterio then says after what they said to Big E, he felt it is best that they find somewhere else to dress. Woods then says it is okay because they didn’t want to share a locker room with all of them anyway.

Classic still shots of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Mike Tyson, Shawn Michaels, Triple H and Chyna are then shown from RAW in Boston back in 1998.

We then get a video package recapping the Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens match for the Undisputed WWE Championship on Saturday Night’s Main Event. We then see video footage from after Saturday Night’s Main Event of Owens hitting Rhodes with a package piledriver followed by Rhodes being stretchered out of the arena.

Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett then speaks from their desk. Barrett says that it was a banned piledriver that took Randy Orton out and now Owens used a package piledriver on Rhodes as well. Tessitore then reads through the storyline injuries suffered by Rhodes and says X-Rays are negative and Rhodes returned home where he is resting.

We then get a promo video from The War Raiders. Erik and Ivar speaks about the major surgeries they went through. Erik then says he held his newborn son two weeks ago. Ivar then says The Judgment Day tried to end their careers. Erik then says his son has to know that all of the pain and damage was worth it and the only way they can prove that is to bring home the World Tag Team Titles.

We then get a video hyping Monday Night RAW’s debut on Netflix on January 6 in Los Angeles. Tessitore then hypes Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa in Tribal Combat on the RAW debut on Netflix.

We then head to the back, where Cathy Kelley is speaking with RAW General Manager Adam Pearce about the RAW debut on Netflix and asks if he can confirm any additional matches. Pearce then announces CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins for the January 6th show. We then get a graphic listing Punk vs. Rollins, while commentary speaks briefly about it. Tessitore also hypes the RAW on Netflix kickoff special set to take place on Wednesday at 1PM CT/2PM ET and says Triple H will be there with Punk and Rollins. Tessitore also says Michael Cole will host the event.

WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio and Raquel Rodriguez then all make their way down to the ring. Dominik Mysterio demands that the live fans put their hands together to welcome the greatest World Champion of all time. Morgan then uses a megaphone while repeating what Dominik said about her being the greatest Women’s World Champion of all-time. Morgan then says 2024 is the year of Monday Night Morgan. Morgan then says we’re just getting started. Morgan then says there are a lot of historic changes happening in WWE next year and there’s no one better to lead the company into the future than her. Rhea Ripley’s entrance music then interrupts Morgan. Ripley says Morgan will care about what she has to say. Ripley then enters the ring and tells Morgan to shut up. Ripley then says it’s gone on long enough and it’s time to settle things once and for all. Ripley then says Adam Pearce made it official by naming her the No. 1 Contender for the Women’s World Championship. Ripley then says she will be the new Women’s World Champion and the only thing Morgan will be left with is her little chicken tender slut. Dominik then acts like he is taken aback by Ripley’s insult.

We then see Jackie Redmond catch up with Seth Rollins and she informed him about the match with CM Punk being made official. Drew McIntyre is then shown walking quickly towards Redmond and Rollins. Sami Zayn then appears and fights with McIntyre until they are pulled apart by producers and referees.

Zoey Stark then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night, while Wade Barrett assumes that McIntyre was going to attack Rollins had it not been for Sami Zayn. Raquel Rodriguez is already in the ring for the match.

We then head to the back, where The Miz tells Paul Ellering, Akam and Rezar that they don’t need him anymore. Karrion Kross and Scarlett then show up. The Miz then tries to make his case for going separate ways, but Kross said it’s not over until he says it’s over. Kross then says they have been reacting to the Wyatt Sicks, but now they will take the first strike. Kross then asks if The Miz remembers Dexter Lumis kidnapping and torturing him, then says The Miz will face Lumis on next week’s RAW. Ellering then tells Miz that he saved him twice and now Miz owes them. Kross then tells Miz to go to Adam Pearce and get the match made. Kross also says Miz has won 22 titles during his career and he can do this. After The Miz walks away, Rezar asks Kross if Miz can take Lumis. Kross then says he doesn’t know, but they’re going to keep testing the Wyatts. Kross then says Miz will learn the lesson that when you make a deal with the devil, you don’t run out on him.

Kayden Carter then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night and her opponents are still in the ring.

WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship Tournament First Round Triple Threat Match: Pure Fusion Collective’s Zoey Stark vs. The Judgment Day’s Raquel Rodriguez vs. Kayden Carter

The match starts off with Kayden Carter going after Zoey Stark. Rodriguez then sends Carter and Stark across the ring and stacks them up in the corner, then charges at them both and nails Carter before pinning her. Stark then breaks the fall, then delivers some right hands on Rodriguez. Carter then looks to hit a Monkey Flip on Stark, but Stark lands on her feet and hits a DDT on Rodriguez. Stark then hits a superkick on Rodriguez on the apron, but Rodriguez nails her with a boot. Carter then hits a Tornillo through the middle rope on both Carter and Rodriguez on the outside. Rodriguez then sends Stark crashing out of the ring with a shoulder pounce. Carter then rolls up Rodriguez, but Rodriguez kicks out. Rodriguez then sends Stark and Carter crashing into each other, but Stark hits the Z360 on Carter for the win.

Alpha Academy (Otis, Maxxine Dupri and Akira Tozawa) are then shown backstage. Dupri asks R-Truth what he thought of their commercial. Truth says it was outstanding. Truth then says he changed his workout because of it. Truth then says if that “son of a Butch” had taken their advice, he may not have beaten him so easily. Pete Dunne then shows up and is pissed about Truth using the Butch name. Otis then gets in between Dunne and Truth. Dunne then threatens to break Truth’s jaw and says this is his last warning and then he storms away. American Made (Chad Gable, Ivy Nile, Brutus Creed and Julius Creed) then show up. Gable says they ruined his academy. Gable then says he saw their commercial last week and calls it pathetic. Gable then says Otis is the worst of all. Otis then says shut up. Gable then says it is time to kill his darlings and he’s starting with Tozawa.

We then get a video package setting up the main event coming up next. Tessitore then hypes the World Tag Team Title Match.

We then head to the back, where Jackie Redmond is interviewing Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. The New Day say that they are still looking for a locker room. Redmond then mentions that she was trying to interview them last week and it didn’t go well. Woods then says it was biased journalism. We then get a commotion nearby and Redmond wraps up the interview and the cameras cut to Pure Fusion Collective (Sonya Deville, Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark) standing over a production crate with a screaming Kairi Sane on the ground behind it. PFC then runs away when IYO SKY and Dakota Kai shows up and checks on Sane.

The War Raiders then make their way down to the ring for the main event of the night and The Judgment Day follows.

WWE World Tag Team Championship Match (The Judgment Day is banned from ringside): The Judgment Day (Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh) (c) vs. The War Raiders (Erik and Ivar)

The match starts off with JD McDonagh and Ivar. Both men then lock up and Ivar hits McDonagh with a shoulder tackle. Ivar then drags Finn Bálor into the ring and hits McDonagh with a bodyslam, then hits a second one on Bálor on top of McDonagh. Erik then tags in and Ivar bodyslams McDonagh before Erik bodyslams Ivar on top of McDonagh. Bálor then hits his signature elbow drop on Ivar, then hits a series of stomps on Ivar using the ropes. McDonagh then tags back in, but Ivar nails him and Bálor. Erik then tags in and hits a suplex on McDonagh, then nails him with a right hand and follows it up with a spinning back suplex. Erik then hits a chokeslam on Bálor, then nails McDonagh and sends him over the top rope and to the outside. Erik then runs the ropes, but Bálor grabs his ankle. This then opens the door for McDonagh to hit a Hip Attack on Erik that sends him crashing to the outside and tags in Bálor. Bálor and McDonagh then send Erik crashing into the ring steps twice.

McDonagh then looks to hit an elbow drop on Erik off the middle rope. Erik then moves out of the way, then tags in Ivar. Ivar then nails McDonagh with a Sidewalk Slam and a low crossbody, then follows it up with a senton on Bálor in the corner and climbs to the top. Bálor then trips Ivar, then tags in McDonagh. McDonagh then joins Ivar on the ropes, but Ivar hits a powerslam on McDonagh and tags in Erik. Erik then sends McDonagh over to Ivar and Ivar hits an over the shoulder powerslam on McDonagh. Erik then pins McDonagh, but Bálor breaks the fall. The War Raiders then look to double team on McDonagh, but Bálor trips Ivar. McDonagh then rolls up Erik in the ring, but Erik kicks out. Bálor then tags back in, but Erik delivers some strikes on him and follows it up with a knee to the back of his neck and hits a Sling Blade. Bálor then dropkicks Erik into the corner and McDonagh hits a moonsault off the top. Bálor then follows it up with a Coup De Grace and pins Erik, but Erik kicks out. McDonagh then grabs a chair at the request of Bálor, but the referee catches him. Bálor then grabs a chair of his own, but Damian Priest stops him from bringing it into the ring. While the referee has his back turned, Ivar nails McDonagh with a clothesline. Ivar then tags in and The War Raiders hits him with the War Machine for the win.

The winners and new WWE World Tag Team Champions, The War Raiders (Erik and Ivar)!

After the match, Damian Priest applauds The War Raiders from ringside. Pyro then shoots off in the stage area, while Erik and Ivar hold up the World Tag Team Titles and the show comes to a close.
