Batista has been making significant waves as a bonafide star in Hollywood. As The Animal promotes his upcoming film The Killer’s Game, fans have noticed a significant transformation in his appearance, with recent photos revealing a noticeably leaner physique.

This change sparked concern among some, but Batista recently addressed these worries, explaining that the weight loss was intentional. In an interview on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Batista revealed that slimming down has been a deliberate but challenging process. After a role that required him to bulk up to 315 pounds, the journey to shed the extra weight proved difficult. He further stated that he hadn’t been this light since he was 19 years old.

“I’m getting super trimmed. This is probably the lightest I’ve been since I was 19 years old.”

Batista reflected on his weight throughout his career, mentioning that he was around 325 pounds when he debuted as “Deacon” and remained at about 290 pounds during most of his wrestling career. Currently, he weighs around 240 pounds, a dramatic shift from his earlier physique.

“The heaviest I’ve ever been was 370 pounds. When I started Deacon, I was about 325 pounds. Throughout most of my wrestling career, I was about 290 pounds. Now I’m about 240 pounds. Just a year and a half ago for Knock At The Cabin, I went up to 315 pounds and that’s when the nightmare started. Getting that weight off has been a real challenge.”

The Killer’s Game, which is set for release on September 13, 2024, will also star WWE’s Drew McIntyre alongside Batista, marking another major project for the versatile actor. The Animal also recently shared some behind-the-scenes footage from filming, which is hinting to the fact the movie could emerge as a blockbuster at the box office.
