WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels is currently transforming NXT into an exciting program, drawing significant viewership and even surpassing AEW Dynamite at times as they explore new frontiers. With a move to the CW Network on the horizon, all eyes are on WWE’s developmental brand. Recently, HBK shared his professional wrestling Mount Rushmore.

Shawn Michaels is widely considered one of the greatest in-ring performers in pro wrestling history. A common topic among wrestling fans is the Mount Rushmore of the business, and Michaels is often mentioned.

In an interview with The Schmo, Shawn Michaels named his Mount Rushmore of pro wrestling. Despite his significant influence on the Superstars of tomorrow, he selected four names from wrestling history.

“For my Mount Rushmore, it’s probably Ric Flair, Terry Funk, Wahoo McDaniel, and then it’s going to be a toss-up between Harley Race and Nick Bockwinkel.”

Shawn Michaels admitted that his choices do vary with his mood. He explained that Race and Bockwinkel both represent different aspects of the business, so their inclusion depends on the day.

“Harley was a little bit grittier, Nick was more of, as they call it, a technical wrestler, so it all depends on my mood that particular evening.”

We will have to see what the future holds for Shawn Michaels in WWE. He is certainly leading NXT into an exciting direction. It’s also nice to know that, through everything that Michaels is doing to improve WWE’s future, that he has never lost respect for those who blazed a trail for himself.
