After defeating Tetsuya Naito to become the IWGP World Champion at NJPW Windy City Riot, Jon Moxley engaged in a feud with Don Callis and his faction. After retaining his title against Powerhouse Hobbs, the champion was called out by Konosuke Takeshita, which was the beginning of a feud between both men.

While Takeshita managed to get the champion’s attention, he had a lot to prove before he got a shot at the IWGP World title. Moxley then confirmed a match with the star at AEW Double or Nothing, with Takeshita getting a shot at the world title, only if he managed to win the match at the pay-per-view.

Intense action made its way right after the bell rung when Takeshita used the injured arm of Moxley to get an advantage over the champion. In one of the most brutal and hard-hitting matches of the night, Jon Moxley defied all the odds to pin Takeshita and get the win.

With Moxley’s win at AEW Double or Nothing, Takeshita doesn’t get a shot at the IWGP World Championship in the next few weeks. However, Moxley might not be done with Don Callis. It would be interesting to see how things play out between both men in the coming weeks.
