After a stunning night in France with Backlash 2024, WWE now has their sights set on the next PLE, the King and Queen of the Ring. With the tournaments set to take place at the PLE, qualifying matches were scheduled to take place starting on the 5/6 episode of WWE Raw.

However, just minutes away from the show, Drew McIntyre was pulled off from the tournament with Adam Pearce announcing that he wasn’t medically cleared to compete in the squared circle. While this is a massive opportunity robbed away from his hands, it is interesting to see how things play out for the Scottish Warrior while he returns.

Minutes away from the show, replacement for Drew McIntyre in tonight’s qualifying match has also been announced. In promotional messages sent via email, WWE has revealed that Jey Uso would replace Drew McIntyre and will face Finn Balor on the 5/6 episode of the show.

With McIntyre injured and Jey Uso replacing him, the Scottish Warrior won’t like being on the bench while the former Bloodline star makes headlines. It would be interesting to see how things play out on the red brand’s episode.
