CM Punk’s return at the Survivor Series Premium Live Event was definitely a moment where fans felt that hell had frozen over since no one believed it would ever happen. Several months removed from his return, a WWE producer has now stated that he hasn’t heard anything bad about Punk’s backstage conduct.

Producer Shane Helms was asked by Jonathan “The Coach” Coachman and Tommy Carlucci on the Behind The Turnbuckle podcast which WWE return he thought was the bigger surprise: CM Punk or Cody Rhodes.

Shane Helms wasted no time in choosing CM Punk’s return as the bigger surprise, before he would go on to praise the Second City Saint, nothing that he hasn’t heard anything bad about Punk after his return last year.

“Punk was definitely the bigger shock, for sure. I didn’t think he was ever going to come back just because of the bad blood with past administrations and some of the stuff that was said online while he was gone. You also have to realize that we all say stupid stuff and get some anger. Maybe we were feeling that way at that time. There is definitely stuff I have said in the past and people are like, ‘Did you mean it?’

At the time, I did. I might not feel that way now, but that’s how you grow as a person. In terms of Phil backstage, he’s been a pleasure since he’s been back. I didn’t have problems with him to begin with, so I’m not surprised he’s been a pleasure with me, but I haven’t heard anything bad, either.”

Even CM Punk recently admitted that he felt like he was going to have stroke due to the fan reaction he got at Survivor Series. However, CM Punk’s in-ring return might still take time as he continues to recover from his triceps injury. Therefore, fans can’t wait to see when he will make his comeback to the wrestling ring.
