The debate around the location for the WWE extravaganza event next year, WrestleMania 41 has been on the table for weeks. While the venue for this grand event has yet to be officially confirmed, both Las Vegas and Minneapolis emerged as strong contenders.

Negotiations with both cities have caused a delay in the formal announcement of WrestleMania 41’s location. Moreover, recent reports suggest that Minneapolis’ chances of hosting the event are looking bleak, with the Sin City gaining momentum as the preferred choice.

According to a new report by Fightful Select, Minneapolis did seem poised to host WrestleMania 41, with the city eagerly awaiting the opportunity to make the announcement. However, internal discussions within WWE have shifted towards Las Vegas, particularly following the success of events like the WrestleMania 40 kickoff event and the incomparable Super Bowl.

Despite ongoing inquiries, WWE has remained tight-lipped about any updates regarding WrestleMania 41’s venue. However, sources within the company indicated that Las Vegas is now the frontrunner. While early indications point to April 2025 as the likely timeframe for WrestleMania, discussions have also included May dates. Notably, there’s a preference among higher-ups to avoid another cold weather WrestleMania much like this year, even if the event takes place indoors.

“Minnesota is no longer expected to be the site of WWE WrestleMania by most within WWE. For months, Minneapolis was the front runner, and the city has been “aching to announce” that they’d be getting WrestleMania. However, in recent months, there was heavy internal push for the show to take place in Las Vegas, especially after a successful WrestleMania XL kickoff event, and the success of the Super Bowl locally. Fighful has asked WWE for any updates about WrestleMania, and have only been told that they have nothing to announce yet. People of influence within the company tell us they’ve heard Las Vegas is the likely destination now. Early indications are that sometime in April 2025 will be the landing spot for WrestleMania, though May dates were on the table and discussed. Specifically, it was noted that higher ups weren’t keen on a cold weather WrestleMania again next year, even if the event was indoors. We have to reiterate, until it is announced, it is not official, especially as it pertains to this story. We’ll also work to find out more behind WWE in Minneapolis and their reaction to it. Minneapolis had certainly floated information to indicate that they expected it.”

WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque did mention that the official announcement for WrestleMania 41 is coming very, very soon. So the debate and rumors are likely to end in the coming weeks as fans eagerly await to find out the next destination for the Showcase of the Immortals.
