Drew McIntyre Deletes Tweet Backtracking Claims About Taking CM Punk’s Girl

Drew McIntyre has risen to greater superstardom largely thanks to his witty and sharp social media presence, where he often roasts stars like CM Punk and Seth Rollins. He has particularly shown disdain for CM Punk. He claimed he would have stolen AJ Lee recently but has now backtracked on that claim in a now-deleted tweet.

The feud between McIntyre and Punk reached a new level at WrestleMania 40 when CM Punk attacked McIntyre after his match with Seth Rollins, creating an opening for Money in the Bank winner Damian Priest to cash in his briefcase and claim the title. This betrayal not only cost McIntyre the championship, it made McIntyre determined to go after Punk and ruin him.

While speaking on the Pat McAfee show, Drew McIntyre went after The Second City Saint. The Scottish Warrior noted that if he wasn’t married, he would take CM Punk’s wife, AJ Lee, as well.

“I’ll tear you apart on social media, I’ll step from behind the keyboard and I’ll tear you apart physically now if I wasn’t married I’d take your girl too. That’s the kind of troll I am.”

The Scottish Warrior would then backtrack on his claim and say that it was just a general statement. Surprisingly enough, The Scottish Warrior would then delete the tweet as well for some reason.

“It’s a general statement, not specific. Even when comes [sic] to Punk there’s some lines you don’t cross.”

Drew McIntyre and CM Punk also engaged in war of words on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. Regardless, it remains to be seen when Drew McIntyre and CM Punk will finally face each other in a singles match.
