The wrestling industry has seen numerous officials from the company get assaulted. However, Jack Perry unleashing an attack on Tony Khan during the 4/24 episode of AEW Dynamite came in as a shocker. This was followed by Kazuchika Okada along with the Young Bucks further attacking the CEO of AEW.

Following the massive assault, Khan was spotted during the NFL Draft 2024, fashioning neck brace. Though no update on his injury was stated, he acknowledged that his neck brace turned out to gain lot of attention from fans towards AEW. However, the reason he was assaulted by the group is still a mystery.

Addressing the attack on the recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Melzter stated that the reason Tony Khan was attacked by the Elite and Jack Perry was just kind of a publicity stunt. However, this might not be the whole reason for the attack unleashed on him.

“Part of the reason for sure for the angle that week was so he could go on the NFL Draft with a neck brace and it’d be a publicity stunt for AEW.”
