ECW legend Raven returned to the ring for a violent battle during Major League Wrestling’s War Chamber 2 event in St. Petersburg, showcasing a brutal encounter with a faction he had previously created. The event, which aired on YouTube, was highlighted by a main event match featuring The Calling, a heel faction initially led by Raven, taking on The Death Fighters, an opposing group he later joined.

The Calling, comprised of Rickey Shane Page, AKIRA, Cannonball, and Dr. Cornwallace (aka Doctor Dax), had internal strife that led to Rickey Shane Page betraying AKIRA and ejecting him from the group. However, AKIRA found a new ally in Jake Crist, forming a rebel faction to fight back against The Calling. This turn of events led Raven, the original leader of The Calling, to side with The Death Fighters, setting the stage for a violent confrontation.

The War Chamber 2 match resembled the WarGames format, with two rings and a cage adorned with barbed wire at the top. Raven made his impactful entrance later in the match, swinging a kendo stick to clear the ring and teaming with Crist to execute his signature drop toe hold onto a steel chair, incapacitating Cannonball.

The Death Fighters ultimately triumphed, with AKIRA catching Rickey Shane Page in a barbed wire crossface, forcing him to submit. Following the match, Raven took the microphone to praise AKIRA, emphasizing his potential as the future of professional wrestling.

Despite Raven’s impressive performance, this match was likely a one-off for the veteran, who had not competed in nearly five years before this bout. Raven’s return to the ring was a memorable moment, reinforcing his iconic status in the world of professional wrestling while helping to elevate the next generation of talent.
