Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch were engaged in a feud during the latter half of 2018 and early half of 2019, culminating in a triple threat match. However, it appears Lynch has now revealed her true feelings about Rousey refusing to tap out at WrestleMania 35.

At WrestleMania 35 in 2019, the main event was a much-anticipated Triple Threat Match involving Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Ronda Rousey. The high-stakes bout concluded with an intense moment as Becky Lynch secured victory by pinning Ronda Rousey, clinching both the RAW and SmackDown Women’s Championships. This historic win made Lynch the first woman to hold both titles simultaneously and left a lasting impact on the event and the wrestling world.

In her book “The Man: Not Your Average Average Girl,” Becky Lynch shared her experience about the creative plans for the main event match at WrestleMania 35 in 2019. According to Lynch, the original plan was for Ronda Rousey to tap out during the match, but Rousey did not want to do so.

While speaking to Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Lynch explained that the idea was proposed by their producer, TJ Wilson, suggesting that Lynch put Rousey in an armbar and that Rousey would appear to be on the verge of tapping out.

However, when they discussed the plan with Rousey, she expressed that her mother would disapprove if she appeared to be close to tapping out. Rousey had never tapped out in her career, so Lynch and the team understood and respected her decision.

“That was the creative laid out. She had, her driver had taken her to the wrong spot, so she showed up like an hour…we had been talking through stuff. TJ Wilson, our producer, an amazing producer, he was like, ‘Maybe you have Ronda in armbar, she looks like she’s about to tap out,’ Ronda comes and we tell her the creative, ‘You’re almost about to tap out.’ ‘My mom wouldn’t look me in the eye or talk to me again if I looked like I was about to tap out.’ ‘Alright, well, she’s probably not going to tap out on the finish then.’ She never tapped out in her career. Understood it, respected it, and moved on quickly. I was going to win, I was going to win two titles in the main event of WrestleMania. It was not a big deal whether she tapped out or not. I was winning and she was doing the honors.”

Becky Lynch also called out Ronda Rousey for her lack of wrestling skills when arriving in WWE. Nevertheless, Becky Lynch made history and that is all that truly matters to her in the end
