After losing a Gauntlet match last month, Gable was unable to compete for the title against GUNTHER. Instead, he shifted his focus to training Sami Zayn, who eventually managed to defeat GUNTHER. This week on RAW, Gable and Zayn faced off in a match for the Intercontinental Championship. Despite his efforts, Gable was unable to secure the victory. Following the match, Gable turned heel on Zayn and Charles Barkley made it clear he wanted to beat up Gable after his actions.

As a sign of appreciation, Zayn offered Gable a title match on Monday Night RAW. The match was intense and competitive, showcasing Gable’s impressive skill and determination. Nevertheless, Zayn managed to retain his championship with a last-minute Helluva Kick. Initially, Gable showed good sportsmanship by raising Zayn’s hand in victory and leaving the ring.

However, just as Zayn went to celebrate his win with his wife, Gable launched a surprise attack from behind. He continued his assault on Zayn outside the ring, eventually locking him in an ankle lock on the top turnbuckle. This unexpected betrayal left fans shocked and saddened as the close relationship between the two wrestlers seemed to unravel under these surprising circumstances.

While speaking on the Pat McAfee show, Charles Barkley expressed his strong disapproval of Chad Gable’s actions against Sami Zayn. Barkley was watching the match and was ready to step in to defend Zayn when he witnessed Gable’s surprise attack.

“You know what, I was going to fly up there and whoop Gable’s ass. That man whooped [Sami’s] ass in front of his wife and parents. I didn’t like that at all. You can’t kick a man’s ass in front of his wife and parents. I didn’t like the ending. You can’t kick a man’s ass at his house. That’s bad karma.”

Sami Zayn has already vowed revenge on Gable after his actions on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW and Chad Gable made it clear anyone would have done the same in his position.
