Sheamus had been on the sidelines ever since his last bout with former WWE superstar Edge last summer on SmackDown, which turned out to be his last match for the company. The Celtic Warrior dealt with neck issues, keeping him off television for months.

Last week on RAW, WWE aired a package announcing that The Celtic Warrior would be making his return, with the date being confirmed for tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW on the following SmackDown.

The former WWE champion walked into Montreal, Quebec, Canada to a new entrance theme being a mix of his two previous songs with the Bell Center in full support of Sheamus who went head-to-head with Viking Raider, Ivar.

Sheamus showed no signs of ring rust, battling back and forth against a Superheavyweight in Ivar, leaving the fans in awe after delivering the White Noise on Ivar from the top rope. The contest came to a close with The Fella connecting with a knee cap followed by a thunderous Brogue Kick to the Viking Raider and pinning his shoulders to the mat for the three count.

With Sheamus emerging victorious on his first night back on RAW, it will be interesting to his story unfold under the new era led by his former rival and current WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque.
