Kyle O’Reilly fought back with his career-threatening injury and made a return to AEW at Revolution 2024 and had an iffy relationship with Roderick Strong. Strong finally turned on O’Reilly on Collision this week and now Strong sent a message to O’Reilly.

During AEW Battle of The Belts on Saturday night, Roderick Strong faced off against Rocky Romero in an AEW International Championship eliminator match. Strong emerged victorious in the match, securing a win over Romero.

After the match, Kyle O’Reilly entered the ring to check on Romero. However, this led to a surprising turn of events when Strong and the rest of the Undisputed Kingdom turned on O’Reilly and attacked him. The unexpected betrayal left O’Reilly laid out in the ring, signaling a significant rift within the faction and setting the stage for potential future conflicts between the members.

After the betrayal at AEW Battle of The Belts, AEW cameras caught up with The Undisputed Kingdom, where Roderick Strong addressed Kyle O’Reilly directly with a stern warning about their future confrontation in the ring.

“Why, Kyle? Why? Why did you make me do that? You put that decision into my hands, and I had to put you down. I know, Kyle. I said, you know, I respect the fact that you want to do it on your own, but there’s something that you didn’t realize. You don’t get to choose if you do it on your own. I’m the one that chooses if you do it on your own and now, from here on out, you’re going to do it on your own. You’re going to do it against me. Kyle, your comeback was sweet and I swear to you, I smiled and I cried because I was so happy to have you back. But I want you to know this. When we step into the ring, I am going to break you and I am going to end you forever.”

Following the attack at AEW Battle of The Belts, it has been announced that Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong will face each other for the AEW International Title at AEW Dynasty next weekend. This highly anticipated matchup sets the stage for a heated showdown between the former allies turned rivals.
