“No matter how the night ended this moment was everything. I thought of our mum and how proud she would have been to see her baby boy win at the grandest stage of them all. It never gets easier not having her with us 💔.”

On the other hand, the animosity between McIntyre and Punk escalated on the following night’s RAW, where The Best in the World’s distraction cost Drew shot at becoming the No.1 contender in a Fatal-4 Way match, with Jey Uso capitalizing on the opportunity.
