Dominik Mysterio Explains Why He’s Not Planning on Wearing Full-Time Mask

Since he betrayed his father in one of the most shocking moments in WWE history, Dominik Mysterio has been on a whole new level. As a member of the Judgment day, the former NXT North American Champion has found a new essence to his character, making him one of the most hated stars in the history of pro-wrestling. 

While Dominik Mysterio hates Rey Mysterio with his wrestling gimmick, his in-ring style turned out to be a lot similar to that of the WWE Hall of Famer’s. However, one thing that the WWE Universe always wonders is if Dominik Mysterio is not allowed to wear masks, like his father. 

Addressing the question in a recent interview on The Ringer Wrestling Show, the Judgment Day member revealed that he would have worn a mask if it was there right from the beginning. However, he doesn’t want to hide his smile with mask on his face while wrestling. 

“You know, I feel like I deserved the mask from the beginning. It’s the tradition. I should have wrestled Seth in a mask at SummerSlam, but at the end of the day, I’m too good looking. I got to show off the luscious mullet. I don’t think I’ll ever actually wear the mask full time, unless I lost a bet or my life depended on it to survive or it gave me magic powers or something. I would never actually cover this. I got a hell of a smile. I’m gonna take the Mysterio name to another level and I’m not gonna need a mask.”

Dominik Mysterio battled his father Rey Mysterio in tag team match at WrestleMania 40. Following a massive performance, the Judgment Day ended up losing.
