The Rock Presented with Special People’s Championship at 2024 WWE Hall Of Fame

The 2024 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony was full of surprises. From Paul Heyman being inducted first to fans leaving the arena following his induction, the WWE Universe has not been able to relax. Muhammad Ali was also inducted into the 2024 Class of the Hall of Fame. 

Lonnie Ali was presented the honor of the induction by the Undertaker during the ceremony when an interesting revelation was made. Lonnie Ali revealed that the Rock requested Muhammad Ali for the ‘People’s Champion’ nickname so that he could use it and enhance his wrestling career, which Ali accepted.

Following the revelation, Lonnie surprised the world by presenting custom People’s Championships to the Final Boss. The Rock also stated that his request for the nickname was respectfully accepted by the greatest boxer in history. While fans in the Wells Fargo Center took their time to boo the Final Boss, the latter was honored to get the title. 

The Rock is set to make another appearance at the Hall of Fame 2024 when he inducts his grandmother, Lia Maivia, into the WWE Hall of Fame. The Rock makes his in-ring return for the first time in years tomorrow at WrestleMania 40. Ringside News will keep you updated on the story.
