We then get a video package and we see “The Scottish Warrior” Drew McIntyre and Jimmy Uso arriving in the arena. We then go to the stage and see Michael Cole and Pat McAfee. We then get E-C-Dub chants from the fans when Cole mentions Paul Heyman being inducted into the Hall of Fame tonight.

She then informs us of the breaking news that the Bloodline are in their room and they are probably strategizing.

We then go to Cathy Kelley who says World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins has bruises after being attacked by The Rock on RAW this past Monday night. We then head back to the stage, where Cole and McAfee welcome tonight’s first guest and that is WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque.

Triple H starts off by saying that it’s cold, otherwise he would have done his water spit, although he thinks his lips are frozen. Triple H then says he was there in the Attitude Era and he looks at right now as a new time and a new era. Triple H also says things are really gonna blow up this weekend and it all starts right here and right now. Triple H then told the fans to buckle up because they were going to take one hell of a ride together. Triple H then said his “Are You Ready?” line and made his exit. Michael Cole then says he believes this new era should be called the Triple H Era.

WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley then made her way out and there was a “Mami” chant from the crowd. Lynch then says the time for talking was over, then faced off with Ripley.

Michael Cole and Pat McAfee then talk about “The Ring General” GUNTHER vs. Sami Zayn at WrestleMania XL and Cole calls it “Rocky IV.” We then get a video package for the WWE Intercontinental Championship Match. Sami Zayn makes his way out and starts off by saying it is cold. Zayn then says the Philly fans remember his theme song. Zayn then speaks about how the fans in Philly will let you know if they don’t like you, but they will have your back if they do. Zayn then recalls having his first match in the United States in Philadelphia. Zayn then talks about his achievements so far in Philadelphia throughout his career and says he is planning to add to that by becoming a 4-time Intercontinental Champion.

“The Ring General” GUNTHER’s music then plays and he makes his way out to join Zayn on the stage. GUNTHER starts off by saying his first match in the United States took place in Philadelphia as well. GUNTHER then says he came back this week and realized that it was the same dump it was fifteen years ago. GUNTHER then says Zayn isn’t cut out for this and pointed to Zayn’s “Win Rocky Win” t-shirt. GUNTHER then says that’s not reality. GUNTHER also says Zayn is a great challenger, but he is not cut out to fill his shoes. The fans then give GUNTHER the “What?” treatment and GUNTHER says that once he is done with Zayn, he will still be the greatest and longest reigning Intercontinental Champion in history. Zayn said he wouldn’t take anything away from Gunther, but he noted that he main evented WrestleMania last year. Zayn said he’s not the underdog. Zayn then got in GUNTHER’s face and tells him that he is the one who will defeat The Ring General. GUNTHER then smirks at Zayn and leaves the stage while Zayn’s entrance music played. Zayn then played to the crowd before leaving as well.

Michael Cole and Pat McAfee then runs through the lineup for Smackdown and said Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre are still to come. “Main Event” Jey Uso was then shown walking backstage and Cole says Jey was up next. We then get a video package next for Drew McIntyre vs. Seth Rollins, including clips of the eulogy from RAW. We then get huge “CM Punk” chants from the crowd and Cole then says that he, McAfee and Corey Graves will have the honor of calling both nights of WrestleMania. Cole then says it would be the 23rd WrestleMania that he’s called, which led to a “Michael Cole” chant from the crowd. Rollins starts off by saying it’s a shame he is not kicking Punk’s ass this weekend. Rollins then says he and Cody Rhodes are gonna take down Roman Reigns and The Rock on night one and then on night two. Before Rollins got the chance to say he’s gonna beat Drew McIntyre, The Scottish Warrior makes his way out to the stage.

McIntyre brings some muffins with him and says he brought them as a peace offering for Punk. McIntyre then asks the fans who was ready for him to have his moment with live fans. McIntyre then says he had a PSA message for fans. McIntyre says if you don’t know the superstars, don’t call them by their government names. McIntyre then mocks the adult fans wearing title belts over their shoulders and acting like they won something. McIntyre then tells the fans not to support the “Cringe Lord” Rollins, which led to some fans signing Rollins’ theme. McIntyre then says he has talked a lot of trash and it’s been fun, but Rollins is one of the best he has ever been in the ring with. McIntyre then says Rollins did what he told him not to do and now their match will be an execution. A “CM Punk” chant then breaks out and McIntyre tells the fans not to get Punk’s blood pressure up because he will tear something else.

Rollins then says their match wouldn’t be an execution, it will be a fight. Rollins then says it would be the fight of McIntyre’s life. Rollins then says that no matter what he goes through on Saturday, he will drag his body to WrestleMania on Sunday and he will fight with everything he has left. Rollins then says he would leave it all in the ring. Rollins then says McIntyre wants to win the title in front of live fans and to prove that he is as good as he thinks he is and he will give McIntyre that chance. Rollins then says as good as McIntyre might be, he is not Seth “Freakin’” Rollins. Rollins then says the last thing McIntyre would hear is the entire world singing his song and the WrestleMania XL Kickoff Press Show comes to a close.
