World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has elaborated on his enduring connection with WWE fans ahead of WrestleMania 40, which will undoubtedly be one of the biggest shows in his career.

The Visionary has carved out a legacy for himself unlike anyone else. Rollins is not only one of the company’s most beloved babyfaces, but he has also solidified his reputation through a plethora of classic in-ring bouts.

In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Seth Rollins shared his perspective on why he believes he has developed a lasting connection with WWE fans, as he compared himself to Shawn Michaels and Eddie Guerrero.

“I like all the other stuff, but in the ring, that’s where the lasting connection is built with our audience,”

“It’s not something I take lightly. The guys I admire–Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Eddie Guerrero–they always won the audience over through their workhorse effort.”

“I was a fan of the catchphrases and everything else too, but what really gravitated me toward this industry was that physical, ethereal connection through the in-ring performance.”

“I’ve always taken pride in doing that to the best of my ability.”

The WWE World Heavyweight Champion was asked to share his thoughts on headlining WrestleMania 40 with The Rock. Rollins added that he doesn’t feel out of place one bit.

“I don’t feel out of place a bit. I’m not looking around starstruck. This is where I belong.”

The Rock and Roman Reigns have been making life hellish for Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins for the past few months and it will all culminate at WrestleMania 40, so we’ll have to wait and see who will ultimately prevail when all is said and done.
