Jim Ross Wants to Move On from Negative News After CM Punk’s Anti-AEW Remarks

CM Punk’s arrival in AEW sparked significant anticipation, hinting at an exciting new chapter in his career. However, this excitement waned as Punk’s journey in AEW took a downward turn, leading him to share his thoughts on the experience during an interview on the MMA Hour. Now, it appears Jim Ross has addressed Punk’s comments as well.

CM Punk created significant buzz on April 1 when he criticized AEW, Tony Khan, and the company’s business model in an interview with Ariel Helwani. Jim Ross, who has been with AEW since 2019, worked with Punk throughout his turbulent time in the company.

Speaking on Grilling JR, Jim Ross addressed CM Punk’s comments that came up in the conversation, stating that he was focusing on the positives in his life and tired of the constant stream of negative news.

“I saw a snippet of it. I didn’t see the whole thing. Again, my life, this has been a great weekend health-wise. That’s what I’m focusing on. I’m tired of all the negative news, all the bad news, and all the controversial stuff. It’s enough is enough. I think I mentioned to you, how much barbecue can a redneck eat? I’m tapping. Let’s move on, here. We got everybody’s point of view, we understand. No matter what anybody says in an interview, it’s not gonna solve the problems. It’s just, we’re gonna continue to wear that son of a b**** out.”

During the April 3 episode of AEW Dynamite, Adam Copeland delivered promo addressing “negative BS” and after the AEW Collision tapings, Dax Harwood seemingly responded CM Punk’s negative remarks as well.
