TNA Wrestling is gearing up for what they hope will be a memorable year, despite the departure controversy surrounding Scott D’Amore. Two top TNA stars are now free agents and now their likely destination has now been revealed.

As previously reported, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin’s contract would be expiring soon. The duo are scheduled for an appearance for Smash Wrestling in London, Ontario, on April 21, coinciding with TNA’s post-Rebellion TV tapings.

It was then reported that the duo had finished up with TNA last week and they are now officially free agents. PWInsider reported that within TNA, there’s a growing acknowledgement that The Guns are no longer with the company, whereas previously, there was some hope they might return for select dates.

There’s a belief among some within TNA that The Guns will ultimately sign with AEW, viewing it as their likely destination.

”Within TNA, there’s been more of a realization that the Guns are gone, where before some hoped they might still return to work some dates. There are some in TNA who believe the Guns will sign with AEW and that will be their landing spot.”

Both Sabin and Shelley are highly respected in the wrestling community, with Shelley having worked in various promotions including NXT, NJPW, AEW, ROH, and MLW, while Sabin has made appearances in AEW, NJPW, ROH, and CMLL over the past 15 years. It remains to be seen what they will do next.
