CM Punk Provides Update on AJ Lee’s Potential WWE Return

CM Punk has been back to pro wrestling for well over two years now but the same cannot be said for AJ Lee. In light of her in-ring absence, Punk has now set the record straight regarding her WWE return.

In case you are not aware, AJ Lee’s success story in WWE is truly remarkable, credited for playing a pivotal role in kickstarting WWE’s Women’s Revolution. She left pro wrestling back in 2015, immediately after WrestleMania 31.

That didn’t stop Lee from sparking in-ring return rumors after she posted recent photo with her old ring gear. However, AJ Lee then made it clear that she is still retired and this saddened fans.

During an appearance on the MMA Hour, CM Punk was asked about AJ Lee returning to the squared circle. Punk kept it short and sweet as he made it clear he doubted it would ever happen.

It remains to be seen if by some miracle AJ Lee does return to WWE television somehow, despite what CM Punk had to say as fans are still hopeful.
