Tony Schiavone has been part of Tony Khan’s company since the very beginning as a commentator and occasional announcer, but he has interests outside the realm of professional wrestling. Unfortunately, it appears Schiavone announced the passing of his beloved dog recently.

Tony Schiavone was noticeably absent from the January 17 episode of AEW Dynamite, with Tony Khan revealing that Schiavone was at home due to illness. Ian Riccaboni stepped in to fill Schiavone’s shoes on commentary for the evening.

Tony Schiavone took to Twitter and announced that his beloved dog Buggity had passed away. He uploaded several photos of Buggity, as he wrote a touching message to his beloved dog.

”Tonight I had to say goodbye to my best buddy, my good boy, my Buggity Bug. He passed away peacefully in my arms. Lois was there along with my son, daughter and granddaughter. We gave him a piece of chocolate, because no dog should leave this world without knowing the taste of chocolate. He was such a good boy and I will miss him tremendously. I appreciate everyone who has reached out and have sent my family and I messages. We appreciate it more than you know. Love your dogs. We only have them for a little while #loveyourdogs”
