The Rock had listened enough to Cody Rhodes’ verbal assaults week after week and decided to let his actions do the talking at the end of tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW.

The Great One had earlier made a surprise appearance during Cody’s address to the audience in Chicago, Illinois, and whispered something to him that left everybody talking and Rhodes visibly rattled.

Later on in the night, Cody fought both Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa all the way to the backstage area ever as they tried to interrupt the main event match between Jey Uso and Shinsuke Nakamura. It was at that moment that The Rock reappeared to blindside Cody from behind and attack.

The Final Boss laid the most hellacious assault on Cody Rhodes, which began backstage and went all the way out of the All-State arena, from landing hard punches to throwing him at every corner of the building and busting him open. Moreover, The Rock continuously mentioned Cody’s mother, giving her a preview of what lies ahead at WrestleMania 40 for The American Nightmare.

The show closed with The Rock standing tall over a bloodied Cody Rhodes and reminding everyone that he was not only about verbal SmackDown but still got enough gas left in the tank to take out anyone who got in The Final Boss’ way.
