Swerve Strickland, a notable member of the AEW roster, has captured attention for his exceptional in-ring skills and engaging personality. He is destined for greatness and it appears Chris Jericho also believes Strickland will be AEW World Champion one day.

During the latest AEW Dynamite episode on March 13, Swerve Strickland confronted AEW World Champion Samoa Joe and he was holding chain, but Joe left the ring. This led to him sending a message to Joe, making it clear he would beat Joe for the AEW World Championship.

While speaking on Gabby AF, Chris Jericho was asked to share his thoughts on Swerve Strickland. Jericho made it clear he is a huge fan of Swerve Strickland and believes Strickland will be AEW World Champion one day.

“I’m a huge fan of Swerve. I think eventually he’ll be our world champion. I mean, it’s just a matter of time at this point. He’s got the cool factor. He’s new. He’s fresh. He can talk. He looks great. I mean, he’s a guy that can be a crossover super-super star, which is I think exactly what AEW needs to go to the next level, someone like Swerve or someone like Will Ospreay that people don’t really know, that have the look, they have the uniqueness, they have the charisma, and once again, I’m not just talking about inside the ring.”

”I’m talking about outside the ring because that’s what wrestling is. You become a mainstream star and you build the company. Look at all the guys that have done multiple things and get out of the wrestling bubble into the mainstream world that just makes your company stronger. It makes you a bigger star and makes your company bigger.”

Only time will tell when the leader of The Mogul Embassy will end up defeating The Samoan Submission Machine for the AEW World Championship, as fans would love to see that happen eventually.
