Mercedes Mone recently opened up about her unresolved rivalry with current AEW star Willow Nightingale. Following an injury sustained in a match against Nightingale for the inaugural NJPW Strong Women’s Championship, Mone admitted to never revisiting the footage of the incident.

During an interview with fellow AEW personality Renee Paquette, Mone revealed her lingering curiosity about the circumstances surrounding her injury. Expressing uncertainty about what transpired, she pondered whether she was pushed by Nightingale, experienced a mishap, or even speculated if external factors influenced the outcome, including a potential referee intervention.

Despite her lack of familiarity with Nightingale and her capabilities, Mone disclosed her intention to closely monitor Nightingale’s progress. Additionally, she hinted at a potential appearance on AEW Dynamite in Toronto the following week to further assess the AEW Women’s division.

In addition to discussing her rivalry with Nightingale, Mone reiterated her aspirations to revolutionize AEW on a global scale, emphasizing her desire to compete in various regions including Japan, Mexico, and the UK.
