John Cena’s recent return to WWE marked his longest tenure in over six years, delighting fans who appreciated his regular appearances on WWE television. While his run essentially concluded after Crown Jewel last year, it’s worth noting that Cena isn’t done with wrestling just yet. In fact, Cena is still waiting for a WrestleMania 40 invite.

John Cena squared off against Solo Sikoa at the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event in Saudi Arabia. The Leader of Cenation was systematically dismantled and then brutalized by the young Samoan, as Cena lost the match. He would then tease retirement immediately afterwards.

In case you didn’t know, fans are hoping John Cena will appear at WrestleMania 40 after he confirmed his status for the event. While speaking with Drew Barrymore on The Drew Barrymore Show, Cena was asked if he would be at WrestleMania 40. He admitted that he was still waiting for an invite.

”I’m kind of waiting for my invite. Unfortunately, it’s like, I don’t have a prom date, so I have no one to go to prom with. I haven’t been asked to go yet. That’s okay. That’s alright. I have not yet found a golden ticket in my chocolate bar, so I guess I have to keep eating chocolate bars to find a golden ticket.”
