AEW is currently grappling with a significant number of injuries on their roster, raising concerns among fans. Unfortunately, another AEW star has recently suffered an injury and will undergo surgery.

Anthony Henry, one-half of the WorkHorsemen, is currently not part of the active roster due to a broken jaw, which is likely to require surgery. While expressing his concerns about this unfamiliar and daunting injury on Twitter, Henry highlighted the integral role wrestling plays in his life. He voiced worries about the impact on future plans, especially those involving his tag team partner, JD Drake.

”Update: Absolutely gutted. In last night’s match against Bryan Keith, I took a knee strike that broke my jaw. The #workhorsemen had some exciting things coming up. One of which was the @AEW tag team tournament, which we can now not be involved in. I will have surgery soon.”

Anthony Henry shared his devastation after sustaining a broken jaw during a match against Bryan Keith, specifically citing a knee strike as the cause. He expressed disappointment about missing upcoming opportunities, such as participating in the AEW tag team tournament with the WorkHorsemen. Henry also revealed plans for surgery to address the injury.

”I honestly don’t know how I will take this. I’ve never had an injury like this. I don’t know what to do without wrestling, and my biggest fear is that it derails any upcoming plans for Drake and I. I may be absent from here for a while. I appreciate all the fans who support us!”

The WorkHorsemen, celebrated for their championship victories in AWE, DPW Worlds, EVOLVE, and FW, and ranking #57 in the 2022 PWI Top 100 Tag Teams, are now facing a setback. Unfortunately, Anthony Henry’s significant injury has forced the team to hit the brakes temporarily. We’ll have to wait and see when Anthony Henry will be able to make his return to the squared circle following his injury.
