The WWE Hall of Fame is always a worthwhile event every single year, as fans wonder who will get inducted into the prestigious class. A few big names have already been announced for the event and now WWE has announced that Muhammad Ali will be inducted into the Hall of Fame as well.

Muhammad Ali is set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2024, as exclusively reported by Variety. The induction ceremony is scheduled for April 5 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and will be live-streamed on Peacock at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT. Ali will be inducted by his widow, Lonnie Ali.

While primarily known for his unparalleled boxing career, Ali had notable interactions with professional wrestling. He engaged in an exhibition match against Japanese pro wrestling legend Antonio Inoki in 1976. Leading up to this event, Ali appeared at a WWWF (now WWE) show, challenging Gorilla Monsoon.

Additionally, Ali served as a special guest referee for the main event of WrestleMania I in 1985, featuring Hulk Hogan and Mr. T against Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff. Ali was also the guest of honor at the controversial “Collision in Korea” pay-per-view event in North Korea in 1995.

Renowned as one of the greatest boxers of all time, Ali achieved Olympic gold in 1960 and became the undisputed world heavyweight champion. His influential career included victories over notable opponents like Sonny Liston, Ken Norton, Joe Frazier, and George Foreman. Beyond sports, Ali was known for his social activism, particularly his refusal to be drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Muhammad Ali passed away in 2016 at the age of 74. He joins other Class of 2024 inductees, including Paul Heyman, Bull Nakano, and the tag team the U.S. Express (Mike Rotunda and Barry Windham).
