Kyle O’Reilly has subjected himself to extensive physical strain throughout his career, ultimately landing in AEW alongside numerous compatriots. He was absent for a long time due to his injury, and he finally returned during AEW Revolution. O’Reilly has since broken his silence on the matter.

O’Reilly underwent neck fusion surgery back in September 2022 and it was expected that he would be out of action for long time. He would undergo rehabilitation and make great progress over the years.

As seen during the AEW Revolution pay-per-view, Kyle O’Reilly made his shocking return to the company following Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong’s match. Interestingly enough, he didn’t necessarily align himself with The Undisputed Kingdom at all.

Following the conclusion of the AEW Revolution pay-per-view, Kyle O’Reilly took to his Instagram and broke his silence on his return, while also paying tribute to Sting with a throwback photo.

”Getting to share a brief moment with you in front of an audience was the highlight of my career. Coincidentally it was the last time I’ve been seen on TV so for me to return tonight was extra surreal. But tonight is not about me or anybody else, it’s about honoring a legendary career and celebrating the retirement of the man called Sting. Congrats @stinger , thanks for the memories and for making my childhood so special.”

It was previously reported that Kyle O’Reilly is set to get a new character direction as well as makeover following his AEW return. We will have to wait and see how Kyle O’Reilly will be booked in the coming weeks, now that he has made his triumphant return in almost two years.
