Santos Escobar Vows to End Rey Mysterio After 3/1 WWE SmackDown

After betraying Rey Mysterio a few months ago, Santos Escobar has reached new heights of dominance. In November, he inflicted a torn meniscus injury on WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio and has been assembling a formidable new faction ever since. Mysterio came back on SmackDown this week and Escobar has now sent a warning to him after his appearance.

During the latest SmackDown episode on March 1, Santos Escobar clashed with Carlito in a Street Fight. Despite interference from Garza and Carillo, LWO’s Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro entered the fray.

The confrontation intensified until Rey Mysterio, despite being on crutches, appeared. Surprisingly, Mysterio turned the tables by attacking Garza and Carillo, then distracting Escobar. This allowed Carlito to seize the opportunity, securing a victory with Mysterio’s assistance.

WWE took to their official Instagram account and uploaded a video featuring Santos Escobar backstage. Escobar sent a scathing message to Mysterio and vowed to end Mysterio for good.

”Rey, I gave you a way out. I let you leave on an injury, with your head held high like a legend, but you had to come back and ruin my moment. This is my time! And you didn’t take the opportunity. Well, you’re up against a warrior. I said it before and I’ll say it again – that was just the beginning. And tonight with you coming back again, I swear to you from the bottom of my heart, I will end you.”

Making a return to SmackDown, Rey Mysterio seems poised to reignite his rivalry with Santos Escobar. As WrestleMania approaches, a potential singles match between the two is on the cards and wouldn’t come as a surprise.
