Chad Gable has experienced a significant career resurgence, primarily attributed to his involvement with Alpha Academy, including Otis, Maxxine Dupri, and Akira Tozawa. Despite this, Gable harbors the ambition to conclude his narrative by defeating Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 40.

In September, Gunther defended his title against Chad Gable in a highly regarded match. Gable nearly secured victory, but Gunther rallied, using a lethal combination of moves to defeat him. The outcome shattered Gable’s dreams, even bringing tears from his daughter. Strangely, the two never crossed paths again, and WWE abruptly abandoned the storyline.

During this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Dominik Mysterio stepped up to Gunther and teased a feud with The Ring General. Naturally, fans thought that meant Mysterio would face Gunther at WrestleMania 40.

Following the conclusion of Monday Night RAW, Chad Gable took to Twitter and uploaded a photo of himself and Gunther from their last match and a photo of his daughter crying, as he made it clear he is determined to square off against The Ring General at WrestleMania 40.
