Drew McIntyre’s Contractual Status Amid Ongoing Speculation

Drew McIntyre’s future with WWE has been a subject of speculation as his contract is reportedly set to expire this year. For a significant period, he hadn’t signed a new contract, and now his contractual status has been revealed.

As previously noted, Drew McIntyre was exploring various options as his contract expiration date approached. Nonetheless, many fans are convinced that there is no conceivable way McIntyre would depart from WWE.

Drew McIntyre’s WWE contract currently has a significant question mark. While he has not signed a new deal at this point, all indications suggest that he will likely be staying with the company.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that although Drew McIntyre hasn’t officially signed a new contract, all indications strongly suggest that he will be extending his association with WWE.

Despite the absence of a signed deal, it seems highly unlikely for him to go elsewhere, especially with the groundwork laid for a significant Rhodes vs. McIntyre program after WrestleMania and an existing program with Punk that he has actively advocated for since November. While there is no formal agreement yet, the expectation is that he will stay, considering his current position and the company’s momentum.

”While one would think McIntyre has signed his new deal, and I’d at this point be shocked if he goes anywhere given they’ve set up a major Rhodes vs. McIntyre program, seemingly for after Mania, and he’s got an already-written program with Punk that he’s been pushing hard for around November. But there is no new deal signed yet but clearly the expectation is that he’s staying and he’s in the best position he’s ever been given between his work and how hot the company is.”

It was already reported that WWE has tacked on additional time to Drew McIntyre’s contract. Nonetheless, fans will be glad if Drew McIntyre truly signed a new contract with WWE, as his importance to the company is immense.
