The Icon Sting is all set to ride off into the sunset for good, putting an end to his four-decade-long wrestling career at AEW’s upcoming pay-per-view show, Revolution.

The highly anticipated event would take place on March 3, 2024, at the iconic Greensboro Coliseum, a venue very close to Sting’s historic career. It was the same place he wrestled one of the best in-ring bouts against the Nature Boy Ric Flair at Clash of the Champions in the 1990s.

Sting and his ally Darbin Allin would defend their AEW World tag team championships against Matthew and Nicholas Jackson, The Young Bucks for Sting’s final match at the show.

However, The Stinger had not forgotten the heinous attack on him and his sons following his title victory two weeks ago by The Bucks. During tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite, he and Darby reflected on the attack claiming that no one had dared to touch his flesh and blood until now.

But it was during that emotional moment that the former WCW legend revealed that his father, whom he considered his hero recently passed away. Losing his father made Sting realize that he was not invincible and that time waits for no one and indeed catches up to an individual.
