The Rock came to Dayton Beach to host the name-sake iconic race as the official Grand Marshall recently. He did that in his classic People’s Champion style bringing a touch of WWE to the NASCAR milestone.

The 10-time WWE champion arrived in the city a day prior to the original scheduled date for the event. However, bad weather conditions forced the race to be postponed to the following Monday with The Rock still onboard for his hosting duties.

In a video posted on NASCAR’s official Instagram, The Great One is proudly introduced to the racing fans in attendance for the Daytona 500. He then took the mic and used his iconic WWE catchphrases to kick off the race in classic Rock style with the same energy and charisma.

“In the proud spirit of America and in the proud spirit of our country … Finally The Rock Says, drivers start your engines.”

As said in his introduction, The Rock has multiple ventures to his name from his established Hollywood career to multiple businesses such as his tequila brand, football league, production house, and more.

But The Great One has been heavily featured on WWE programming recently, being a part of his cousin, Roman Reigns’ heated rivalry with Cody Rhodes. He joined Reigns’ Bloodline on SmackDown last week and is expected to be a regular fixture on the road to WrestleMania 40.

Speaking of The Rock appearing at Dayton 500, he took to Twitter to react to his Grand Marshal gig.
