The Rock’s return to WWE was expected to be welcomed with loud cheers and chants for him. Instead, The People’s Champion walked in amidst massive support for Cody Rhodes to finish his story against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40.

The evident rejection of The Most Electrifying Man in all Entertainment by the fans has led to him bringing out his bad guy side which was ruthless and did not care about the people.

Moreover, many have noted that it could be similar to his popular ‘Hollywood Rock’ gimmick back in the early 2000s, who was a cocky and arrogant heel in WWE, yet emerged to be highly popular among the fans.

NBA Player Tyrese Haliburton recently appeared on the Pat McAfee show to talk about the ongoing feud involving The Rock, Roman Reigns, and Cody Rhodes. “Looking at the fans rejecting The Rock, he stated that he would like him to resurrect Hollywood Rock with all its elements on the road to WrestleMania 40.

“I hope that we get Hollywood Rock back … can we get the theme song back tho … the guitar, the leather vest, I need all of that back.”

The Rock and his cousin, the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns are slated to appear on SmackDown this week. Therefore, it would surely be a must-see edition of the show on the road to WrestleMania 40.

Do you think we would see Hollywood Rock back in this feud? Sound off in the comments!
