WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley has a storied career spanning various companies and matchups against top stars. As a veteran, it’s not unexpected that Foley expresses a desire to partake in one final Death Match, something that RVD feels should be his privilege as Foley’s final opponent.

Mick Foley revealed that he is contemplating coming out of retirement for one final match on his 60th birthday. The Hall of Famer mentioned that this potential return and retirement bout would be a deathmatch, making it clear it will be held outside of WWE.

While speaking on the latest episode of “1 Of A Kind With RVD” , Rob Van Dam was questioned about Mick Foley’s expressed interest in having a final match as he reaches 60 years old in 2024.

“I think I saw the headline, you know, something like that, and heard a little inside chatter on it.”

RVD noted that there were discussions about having a match with Mick Foley during their time in TNA. This was around the period when Abyss was associated with the mysterious “they,” and Foley was supposed to be revealed as part of it. However, the match never materialized, with rumors suggesting Foley declined to work with Rob.

Upon learning about Mick Foley’s desire for one final match, Rob Van Dam expressed his initial thought, suggesting that it should be him in that match. Van Dam believed that a showdown between them would be a significant draw, given their shared history as icons of hardcore wrestling

“My first thought was, ‘Dude, that should be me.’ That’d be a huge draw because we have never wrestled each other and we’re both, you know, kings of hardcore.”

Mick Foley is also working in OVW and fans certainly enjoyed his appearances on the show. It remains to be seen will be able to achieve his goal and finally compete in one last death match, especially if it is against RVD.
