It’s Wednesday night and you know what that means! AEW Dynamite will go down tonight and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage for the February 14, 2024 episode.

The show opens up with Blackpool Combat Club’s Jon Moxley making his way down to the ring for the first match of the evening. FTR’s Dax Harwood then makes his way down to the ring as well and the match is underway.

Singles Match: Blackpool Combat Club’s Jon Moxley vs. FTR’s Dax Harwood

The match starts off with Dax Harwood hitting Jon Moxley with a number of punches and kicks, but Moxley answers back with a few chops and body shots of his own. Harwood then nails Moxley with a shoulder tackle, but the Moxley answers back by attempting a sleeper hold. Harwood is able to get out of the hold with a pinfall attempt. Moxley then hits a clothesline on Harwood to send him out of the ring and then over the barricade.

Moxley and Harwood then exchange right hands until Moxley sends Harwood head-first into the ring post. Harwood then hits Moxley with a Liger Bomb and gets a near fall. Both men exchange strikes again, but Moxley gets the upper hand and locks in a Figure Four on Harwood and continues dropping bombs at him.

Moxley and Harwood then chop each other down, then hit each other with elbow strikes and forearms until both men end up falling on the mat. Both men then head up to the top turnbuckle and hit each other with strikes. Harwood then holds on to the ropes until Moxley bites his hand and gets the upper hand, but Harwood gets back up and hits a superplex on Moxley.

Harwood then nails Moxley with a lariat and goes for the Sharpshooter, but Moxley reverses it and kicks his way out of the submission before dropping his boots to the face of Harwood. Harwood then scrapes Moxley’s back and hits him with a Piledriver, but Moxley kicks out. Harwood tries to get back inside of the ring after the two chase each other, but Moxley kicks the ropes and nails Harwood with a cutter, a stomp and a Piledriver and still manages to kick out.

Harwood then reverses several lariat attempts and hits a brainbuster on Moxley, but it is still not enough. Harwood then misses a diving headbutt attempt and that allows Moxley to lock in the rear naked chokehold to score the win.

After the match, Moxley doesn’t let go of the hold until Cash Wheeler makes his way down to the ring and attacks Moxley. Claudio Castagnoli then makes his way down to the ring and hits Wheeler with a Neutralizer.

We then head backstage, where Renee Paquette is with Don Callis, Konosuke Takeshita and Powerhouse Hobbs. Paquette asks what is next for the Family after their recent success. Callis says they are a victim of their own success as no one wants to face them. Callis then says they need to look within the Family to result in the best match possible, so Will Ospreay vs. Konosuke Takeshita is announced for Revolution. Callis also says after the PPV fans won’t be talking about Sting’s retirement as they will be talking about the match of the decade between two Don Callis Family members.

We then get our next match, which is Wardlow vs. Barrett Brown.

Singles Match: Wardlow vs. Barrett Brown

The match starts off with Wardlow immediately lifting his opponent onto the top turnbuckle, then putting him down to the mat. Wardlow then nails Brown with a knee strike. Wardlow then hits Brown with a Powerbomb for the win.

We then see footage of Matthew Jackson and Nicholas Jackson arriving earlier today with their private jet, still wearing their bloody suits from last week. They then get into a limo before heading to the arena.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is an AEW TNT Championship #1 Contender’s Match.

AEW TNT Championship #1 Contender’s Match: “The Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland vs. Daniel Garcia

The match starts off with Adam Copeland hitting Daniel Garcia with a forearm and as Garcia tries to trip Copeland, The Rated R Superstar lands onto Garcia instead. Garcia then sends Copeland down to the mat and dances on Copeland’s knees before driving them down to the mat. Garcia then goes for a jump from the second rope, but gets caught and gets put down to the mat by Copeland.

Copeland then sends Garcia out of the ring and begins dancing and talking trash to the fans at ringside. Copeland then catches Garcia and works on Garcia’s arm, but Garcia is able to reverse it and hits Copeland with a dragon screw. Garcia then follows that up with stomps in the corner and a running boot strike. Garcia then hits Copeland with another dragon screw.

Garcia then once again goes after the leg of Copeland. Garcia tries to go to the top turnbuckle, but gets cut off and both men brawl up there until Copeland hits an avalanche impaler. Copeland then goes for a Spear, but Garcia reverses it with a boot and a pinfall attempt. Copeland manages to reverse it into a crossface until Nick Wayne and Killswitch make their way into the ring and attack both men.

The match ends in a No Contest.

AEW TNT Champion Christian Cage then makes his way down to the ring and brings in some chairs. Daddy Magic tries to stop Christian, but he gets attacked as well for his efforts. The Patriarchy then goes to attack Garcia with the chair, but Copeland makes the save only for Mother Wayne to hit him with a low blow. Copeland is then hit with a Wayne’s World, The Extinction and a Con-Chair-To.

AEW World Champion Samoa Joe then makes his way down to the ring to address the fans.

Joe starts off by talking about bringing back the AEW ranking system. Joe says then Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland might walk into AEW Revolution, but he is going to make sure they both limp out. Joe also says there is nothing anyone can do about it. Swerve then makes his way down to the ring with Prince Nana.

Swerve tells Joe that he didn’t want this to become personal, but the more he hears him running his mouth, the more he feels it is. Hangman Page then makes his way out and talks about how Swerve doesn’t deserve to be in this match. Joe then tells them to take their domestic dispute somewhere else and walks off.

We then get the premiere of AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm’s newest film “Wet Ink.” Storm’s newest film looks into her tattoo and the friendship she had with Deonna Purrazzo. It is shown how Storm helped Purrazzo sign a contract and nurtured her on her buzzom of brilliance. It is also shown that she is adding to her matching tattoo.

We then head backstage, where Renee Paquette is interviewing Deonna Purrazzo. Purrazzo says Storm talks too much, but she will break her arm.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Tag Team Match.

Tag Team Match: The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson and Nicholas Jackson) vs. Top Flight (Dante Martin and Darius Martin)

The match starts off with Nicholas Jackson and Dante Martin, but Jackson is unable to get control of the match so he tags out. Matthew Jackson then gets ping-ponged between the Martin brothers as Darius gets his first taste of the action. Top Flight then send The Young Bucks out of the ring as Top Flight then try to fly out, but the Bucks just walks out of the way and all four men start brawling on the outside.

The Young Bucks then distract Darius Martin, which allows Matthew to hit a clothesline. Dante then tags in his brother Darius and Darius takes the fight to both of his opponents. Darius springboards and hits a big crossbody to Mathew, which leads to a near fall. Matthew then stops the offense with a DDT.

Dante then fights back and knocks Nicholas off the apron, but Nicholas returns in the ring to break up a pinfall attempt from Dante. Darius then hits a Spanish Fly inside the ring, but The Young Bucks turn around and try to use the ropes. Nicholas then distracts the official, which allows Matthew to hit a low blow. The Young Bucks then hit the EVP Trigger for the 1-2-3.

After the match, The Young Bucks is interviewed by Tony Schiavone and they tell Schiavone that they are undefeated this year which makes them the top team. Matthew then says that after beating a team like Top Flight it is safe to assume that they are the number one contenders. Matthew then says he listens to Schiavone talk trash about them and that might be a breach of contract and it is unprofessional. Nicholas then fines Schiavone and asks him if he is okay with that and he pushes Schiavone. Matthew then apologizes and they help him up, but tease hitting the EVP Trigger until Darby Allin makes his way down to the ring.

Allin says that the original AEW mission statement was to change the world. Allin then says he begged The Young Bucks for a job and they saw nothing in him, but he had to watch their sh*t friends get hired instead. Allin also says there was an EVP around at the time who had brains to bring him in. Allin then says he doesn’t think The Young Bucks understand what they have gotten themselves into.

We then head backstage, where Bullet Club Gold, The Acclaimed and “Daddy Ass” Bill Gunn is with Renee Paquette and Jay White says they have yet to test their cohesiveness inside the ring. The Bullet Club Gold then suggest the idea of a 12-Man Tag Team Match on Rampage.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Skye Blue vs. Willow Nightingale

The match starts off with Skye Blue immediately stomping away on Willow Nightingale, but Willow answers back with a scoop slam which gets a one count. Blue then slaps Nightingale in the face which fires Willow up and she then slams Blue into the turnbuckles all around the ring until Blue retreats outside the ring. Nightingale then chases Blue back into the ring and immediately hits the pounce.

Blue then returns to the ring only to hit a snap suplex, but yanks Nightingale into the second rope and follows it up with a big boot to the face. Both women then go back and forth with forearm strikes until Blue hits a superkick, but Nightingale answers back with several big clotheslines and then a hip attack as well as a lariat in the corner. Nightingale then hits a Spinebuster on Blue, which gets her a near fall.

Blue then lock in the dragon sleeper, but Nightingale breaks out of the move by sending Blue into the turnbuckles. Nightingale then knocks Blue out of the ring to the floor. Nightingale then heads to the top rope, but Blue slips under and hits a superkick. Blue then hits her Code Blue finisher, but Stokely Hathaway distracts the official. Nightingale. then hits her Doctor Bomb finisher on Blue to secure the win.

We then get the entrances of the main event, which is a Texas Death Match.

Texas Death Match: AEW International Champion “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy vs. ROH World Tag Team Champion Matt Taven of the Undisputed Kingdom

The match starts off with both men not wasting any time and Matt Taven hitting a Blue Thunder Bomb on Cassidy which sends Cassidy out of the ring. Cassidy then sends Taven into the barricade repeatedly and as Taven tries to respond, Cassidy runs and jumps over the barricade and into the fans. Both men then begin brawling up the stairs through the crowd. Both men then fight around the arena and the stage and Taven sets up a table and puts Cassidy through it. Taven then gets on top of the stage and hits an Elbow Drop on Cassidy through the table. Taven then leans the broken table onto the ramp and suplexes Cassidy through it again. Taven then hits a huge running knee strike on Cassidy and he follows it up with a backbreaker and a DDT inside the ring.

Taven then sets up a table leaning on the announce table and hits Cassidy several times to stay on the table, but Cassidy still manages to avoid the table. Taven then dives over the top ropes, but Cassidy moves and Taven crashes through the table. Cassidy then finds a box of chocolates from Chuck Taylor and opens it to reveal that they are thumbtacks. Both men fight on the top ropes, but it is Cassidy that gets sent into them.

Taven then looks for a Frog Splash and misses so he lands in the thumbtacks. Mike Bennett then shows up and hits a box over the head of Cassidy before bringing in several chairs. Trent Beretta then shows up with a pipe and smashes it into the head of Bennett only to turn into Taven who hits him with a chair. Taven then puts Trent down onto a chair only to be dropped on top of the thumbtacks again by Cassidy. Cassidy then hits Taven with an Orange Punch and despite Roderick Strong trying to help, he got thrown out of the ring and Taven is unable to answer the 10 count.

After the match, commentary puts over how Cassidy is lucky to have a friend like Beretta as the show comes to a close.
