RVD is regarded as one of the all-time greats as far as in-ring action and death-defying stunts are concerned. He has been appearing on AEW television for the past year or so and has disclosed why he feels more comfortable in AEW than WWE.

The WWE Hall of Famer has competed all over the world in various pro wrestling promotions such as WWE, ECW, TNA Wrestling and now AEW, among many others.

RVD also made his return to AEW television on the January 31st edition of AEW Dynamite, where he had solid match with Swerve Strickland. While speaking on his 1 Of A Kind podcast, Rob Van Dam mentioned that he actually prefers being at AEW shows over WWE tapings.

“I get a lot of respect there, obviously. I’m more comfortable there than I am at WWE. It feels less grandioso; it has a very important indie vibe that’s cranked up to like, ‘Boom, it’s TV day.’

“It’s not the same as the pressure – at least it doesn’t seem like it – around WWE. By that I mean like the agenda or what your job is to do throughout the entire day. It seems less complicated.”

RVD is happy working in AEW due to less pressure and that is strictly his opinion. Nonetheless, we will have to wait and see when the WWE Hall of Famer makes his return to AEW television.
