WWE has faced major backlash ever since they teased the dream encounter between The Rock and Roman Reigns for WrestleMania 40 on SmackDown last week and took fan favorite Cody Rhodes out of the equation.

However, former WWE superstar James Ellsworth recently made an interesting pitch in regards to the WrestleMania plans that would make the fans happy and Rhodes get his ultimate moment.

Ellsworth pitched on his X for RAW star Drew McIntyre to emerge victorious in the upcoming Men’s Elimination Chamber match in Perth, Australia, and choose to face Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40 on Night 1.

The former WWE star then shifted his focus on the ongoing Rock Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes fiasco. He stated that The Rock vs Roman Reigns should also take place at Night 1 and the winner would go on to face Rhodes on Night 2 of WrestleMania.

This would give Cody the main event match he deserves and he would pick up the victory for the championship and finish his story, giving WrestleMania a perfect storybook ending.

Here I’ll fix #wrestlemania where everyone’s happy and it all would make sense Drew wins the men’s #EliminationChamber for the right to face Seth #TheRock vs #RomanReigns night one after Roman actually accepts his challenge Cody gets winner night 2 , cause he won #RoyalRumble

With the fans evidently supporting Cody Rhodes and turning on The Rock for his potential WrestleMania involvement, we will have to wait and see what happens next in this ongoing saga.
