Mercedes Mone’s future in professional wrestling remains a hot topic of discussion even now, especially because of the fact that many are convinced she will be joining AEW. Now, the likely timeline for Mone’s debut has been revealed.
AEW President Tony Khan is set to make major announcement again on Dynamite next week. Reports had then suggested that the announcement would be about Mercedes Mone and Kazuchika Okada.
According to Sean Ross Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall, while no one was officially confirmed, it was suggested that the announcement might be linked to the anticipated appearance of Mercedes Mone in AEW. However, it wasn’t specified that her signing would be explicitly mentioned as part of the rumored announcement.
”AEW founder Tony Khan fueled speculation on Wednesday when it was announced….that he’d have an announcement on the February 7 episode of AEW Dynamite. While no one will confirm, it was implied that it was related to the impending appearance of Mercedes Mone in AEW. However, we were not told that her signing would be outright mentioned as a part of the rumored announcement.”
It was noted talents within the company and individuals close to Mercedes Mone have indicated that the working plan AEW is for her to make a physical appearance for the company in March, likely after the Revolution pay-per-view. However, there is no confirmation regarding when she could make her in-ring wrestling debut for the promotion.
”However, what we have heard from numerous talent is that they’ve been told within the company and from those close to Mercedes that the working plan in All Elite Wrestling is for her to physically appear for the company in March, likely after the Revolution PPV. We have not been told when she could make an in-ring wrestling debut for the company.”
AEW’s strategic approach to Mercedes Mone’s debut has also been revealed. Nonetheless, we will have to wait and see whether Mone will end up debuting after the AEW Revolution pay-per-view.
