The road to WrestleMania is one day away from its official flag-off and the WWE landscape already has experienced a major makeshift change on this week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

The WWE Women’s Tag Team championship was on the line with the dynamic champions, Kayden Carter and Katana Chance defending the titles against the dangerous duo of Asuka and Kairi Sane, representing the Damage CTRL.

The tag team match was action-packed from the get-go with both teams displaying enthralling in-ring style and moments. However, the team of Japanese stars claimed the right to the tag team title gold in the end.

The closing moments of the match saw Kayden Carter trapped in by Asuka for Kairi Sane to go up the top rope and connect with a thunderous elbow drop. That was lights out for her, with Sane pinning her shoulders to the mat.

With the win, Asuka and Kairi Sane won the WWE Women’s tag team titles for the second time as a unit. The pyro celebrations went off as other Damage CTRL members, Bayley, Dakota Kai and WWE Women’s champion IYO Sky came out to congratulate their cohorts.
