16-time World Champion John Cena is now a part-timer, having a busy schedule in Hollywood. Therefore it comes as no surprise he is set to star in yet another movie, this time being ‘Ricky Stanicky.’
The Leader of Cenation never fails to give it his best no matter what role he is given and his Hollywood accomplishments in the past few years speak for themselves. This includes his roles in films such as ‘The Suicide Squad’ and ‘Peacemaker’ and even the ‘Fast & Furious’ movies.
The first trailer for ‘Ricky Stanicky’ has finally dropped as well. Scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime on March 7, 2024, the film features a cast including John Cena, Zac Efron, William H. Macy, Anja Savcic, Andrew Santino, Lex Scott Davis, Jane Badler, and Jermaine Fowler.
On top of that, ‘Ricky Stanicky’ is directed by Peter Farrelly and written by Jeffrey Bushell, Brian Jarvis, and Jim Freeman. The trailer shows John Cena being natural in his comedic role to boot.
”When three childhood best friends pull a prank gone wrong, they invent the imaginary Ricky Stanicky to get them out of trouble. Twenty years later, they still use the nonexistent Ricky as a handy alibi for their immature behavior.”
John Cena is presently on a Hollywood press tour for his upcoming film ‘Argylle’. Scheduled to premiere in theaters on February 2, the movie also features Henry Cavill and Samuel L. Jackson.
John Cena hasn’t been seen on WWE television since the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event on November 4th, 2023. It remains to be seen when Cena will be able to make his return to the squared circle.
