John Cena is a 16-time World Champion and he dominated WWE for over a decade while he was the face of the company. He has a reputation for being a wonderful human being, but it appears a WWE producer believes Chad Gable is the ‘real’ John Cena.

Chad Gable has seen a major resurgence in his career over the past couple of years, largely due to his association with Alpha Academy, namely Otis, Maxxine Dupri and Akira Tozawa.

Chad Gable’s feud with Gunther last year truly cemented him as a bonafide Superstar as well. While speaking on Oh…You Didn’t Know, Road Dogg highlighted Chad Gable’s wrestling resurgence during the storyline with Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship, expressing admiration for Gable’s athleticism and character.

Road Dogg even went as far as to compare Chad Gable to “the real John Cena,” commending him as a great human, employee, and wrestler.

They were really, really good together. I would say glorious. What’s great is Bobby is still with the company and is doing some behind the scenes work and Chad Gable to me is in his prime. His resurgence of his wrestling ability in my mind over the period of the storyline with Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship just reminded me personally of what a hell of an athlete and a model American that Chad Gable is. I know I’m going to throw up, but I’m being dead serious. He’s a great human, a great employee, a great wrestler, like, he might be the real John Cena. He’s just a really good guy and he really works hard.”

We will have to wait and see whether Chad Gable will eventually become a main event level Superstar in WWE, as fans certainly feel he more than deserves a push again after a terrific 2023.
