Adam Copeland came to AEW with one goal in mind, which was to help elevate younger talent and prepare them for the future. That doesn’t mean he won’t fight veterans, as Copeland is set to face Minoru Suzuki on Dynamite this week. Now, Tony Khan has announced that the match will be commercial-free.

Tony Khan took to Twitter and announced that the first-ever clash between Adam Copeland and Minoru Suzuki on the January 24 AEW Dynamite episode will be shown without commercials.

”Tomorrow on Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite, the fight between international legends @suzuki_D_minoru vs @RatedRCope will have no commercial interruption! 2024 will be an amazing year for AEW! We’re off to tremendous start to this year’s @AEWonTV, see you TOMORROW on @TBSNetwork!”

Adam Copeland previously hyped up his match against Minoru Suzuki as well. Copeland expressed the extraordinary nature of the upcoming match with Minoru Suzuki and anticipated a hard-hitting encounter. He highlighted the unexpectedness of the bout and listed previous challengers in his Cope Open.

Copeland acknowledged Suzuki’s reputation and emphasized the intense nature of the impending clash in Savannah on Dynamite, urging fans to “Grit Your Teeth.”

I started this Cope Open for a few reasons. One, to prove to Christian Cage what I’ve always told him, which is that I’m just better and I’m better because I work harder. I have more work ethic. I wanted to see who would step up, who would step up to the challenge, who wanted it? Who would come face to face with me in it so far? Griff Garrison. Lee Moriarty. Dante Martin. Now someone who has stepped up. I wouldn’t have expected.”

You asked any wrestling fan five years ago if they would have ever expected that they’d see this match. That’s gonna happen. Wednesday. Savannah. Dynamite. Minoru Suzuki versus the Rated R Superstar. Man. I get goosebumps just thinking about it. We are gonna beat the hell out of each other. Two grisly gnarled evil bastards beating each other up and I can’t wait. Suzuki, I know what you’re gonna bring. I hope you know what I’m gonna bring. I’m gonna sum this match up in three words for all of you, Grit. Your. Teeth.”

We will have to wait and see who will end up winning this first-ever bout, as fans simply can’t wait to see the two legends beat each other up on AEW Dynamite this week.
