Dustin Rhodes Admits He’d Be Furious If The Rock Main Events WrestleMania 40

The Rock remains one of the biggest WWE Superstars of all time and he finally returned to Monday Night RAW earlier this month, where he teased potential bout with Roman Reigns. In light of this, Dustin Rhodes admitted that he would be furious if The Rock main events WrestleMania 40.

Initially considered a frontrunner to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, Cody Rhodes’s status is now uncertain due to The Rock’s potential in-ring return. The emergence of this possibility raises questions about whether Cody Rhodes will be able to finish the story at the Showcase of The Immortals.

While speaking with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Dustin Rhodes shared insights into his relationship with his brother, Cody, and their late father. Dustin expressed pride in the Rhodes family’s love for the fans and the wrestling business, emphasizing their commitment to preserving the Rhodes name.

“My dad, myself, and my brother, we’re three different men. But we all love the fans, we love the business, and we take a lot of pride in protecting the Rhodes name. Cody is on fire. This is his time. I’m very happy for him. We’re carrying on the legacy, which is very special to us.”

In the discussion about WrestleMania 40’s main event, Dustin Rhodes expressed his desire for Cody Rhodes to be in the spotlight against Roman Reigns, regardless of The Rock’s potential return. He strongly believes that it’s Cody Rhodes’ time and that he is emerging as the face of the company.

“I hope Cody’s in the main event spot against Roman. Or it’s going to be The Rock. If it is The Rock, I’m pissed–this is Cody’s time. He is becoming the face of the company, and it’s paying off. But I get it. If it is The Rock, it’s still good business. I understand that there are a lot of people who love seeing The Rock. But I still think it’s Cody’s moment.”

Cody Rhodes is also unfazed by the possibility of The Rock taking away his WrestleMania main event spot. Only time will tell whether The American Nightmare will be able to finish his story this year at WrestleMania 40.
