Matt Cardona truly reinvented himself in the independent circuit over the years and he has beef with just about everybody under the sun. This includes Paul Walter Hauser, who name-dropped him during his Emmy speech. Now, Cardona called out Hauser for embarrassing him with the speech.

In case you didn’t know, Paul Walter Hauser, winner of the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie at the Emmy Awards for his role in “Black Bird,” delivered a memorable acceptance speech filled with wrestling references.

Hauser mentioned “beating” Matt Cardona, gave a shoutout to Kota Ibushi, referenced the Wolfpac and DDP, and concluded with a Dudley Boyz quote by exclaiming, “get the tables.”

Wrestling REVOLVER released a video featuring Matt Cardona responding to Paul Walter Hauser’s Emmy win and the wrestling references in his acceptance speech. Cardona acknowledged Hauser’s victory and the mention of their potential match, highlighting his own Slammy Award win.

Cardona playfully that at the REVOLVER event on March 16, it would be the Emmy Award winner versus the Slammy Award winner. He concluded with a confident prediction, stating that after delivering moves such as the crane kick, Reboot, and Radio Silence, people will start calling him the “Emmy God.”

“Paul Walter Hauser, congratulations, bro. Congratulations on winning an Emmy. While it’s not uncommon for someone to mention God in their acceptance speech, you chose to mention the Indy God. Not just mention me, no. You called me out. You said you were gonna beat me. You tried to embarrass me. My mom watches the Emmys, bro.”

‘While you may be an Emmy Award winner, I am a Slammy Award winner. So at Revolver, March 16, it will be the Emmy Award winner versus the Slammy Award winner. But when I give you a crane kick to the face, a Reboot, and a Radio Silence, they’re gonna start calling me the Emmy God. See you at Revolver, bro.”

Hauser is set to square off against Matt Cardona in a wrestling match on March 16 at REVOLVER Wrestling’s Ready or Not event. We will have to wait and see who will come out on top in the upcoming bout.
