WWE has a few members of their roster who are not active due to injury or another reason. At this point, WWE fans are getting pretty impatient about seeing Dakota Kai once again.

Dakota Kai has been sidelined since last May due to a torn ACL, and she recently provided an update on her recovery process. Despite being part of the Damage CTRL stable and appearing on TV alongside her stablemates, some fans had misconceptions that she had already been cleared for action.

Kai clarified in a recent Twitch stream that while she can move normally, she has not yet received medical clearance. Now, she is waiting for that green light for her return to the ring.

“I’m so sick of seeing people saying, ‘She can run and jump, but she’s not cleared still? No, that’s not how this works. Obviously, I can run and jump because I’ve been doing it for the last few months, but they have a set date for when you actually get cleared because I have to still do matches, and they have to check all the boxes of when I’m actually cleared. I’m not going to be in a wheelchair for nine months and then suddenly stand up and go, ‘I’m cured.’ That’s not how it works.”

Dakota Kai has been having a good time as a member of Damage CTRL. She may not have to get her hands dirty to get on television, but it’s hard to argue that she isn’t missed in the ring.

With the Royal Rumble coming up on January 27th, it will be interesting to see if her return is in the cards. For more on this story, and so much more, please keep it tuned with us here at Ringside News.
