WWE SmackDown last week saw Austin Theory take on Carmelo Hayes, but their match did not end as expected. It was ended early, and there were a few people who were worried about how it all went down. Now, it appears that Carmelo may not be 100% just yet.

Tonight’s episode of NXT on the USA Network boasts a loaded card, with various matchups, including a match with Carmelo Hayes booked. That being said, there is no guarantee he will be there to team with Trick Williams.

Concerns are present due to Carmelo Hayes’ recent match on SmackDown against Austin Theory, where an unfortunate move resulted in Theory landing on his head while Hayes also experienced an awkward landing.

Theory is currently in medical protocol, and Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio that Carmelo Hayes is questionable for this week’s NXT.

“So Hayes, as of today, was questionable for that match. Yeah, I mean, they weren’t sure one way or the other if he was going to be able to do it,” Meltzer stated.

We will have to see how Carmelo Hayes is able to do when it comes to his recovery. Obviously, he has a ton of fans pulling for him.
